With minutes ticking by
For the new year to come by
The world, cropping up with resolutions
For a better year
Without any loss of money
Loss of status, or luxury,
And all the other material factors
To keep up to the stress and prejudices
Cribbing about the past
Yearning for a fearless future
Filled with happiness
But where is it?
In a world full of hunger and hate
Where there is no time for care
Or where there is too much to bear
But, little things like sunshine
Butterflies, flowers and smile
Makes the world bright
Little things, let us live
Love , friendship and family
To see the dawn fresh in you
The world in a new light.
