Oh My Chaos! [SonAmy Idol AU]

Looking through the window of the car, kind of moist due to the shallow rain currently happening from outside–Amy was in a deep thought.

What if he wouldn't be there? This might be the last time I'll come over, after that I'll probably cut off the—

She cuts her negatives off, and lightly taps her cheeks with her hands. Don't act so impulsive Amy Rose, let's see what's going to happen later on..

She took a deep breath and then exhaled heavily. She decides to skim over her phone to distract her from such thoughts. Shortly after, the driver announced that they might be a little too late to arrive at the place due to the traffic and the sudden rain. She could only nod her head in consideration, but her mind was busy thinking of someone else...

"We have arrived at the restaurant, Ms. Rose." The driver announced their arrival at the place.

It was enough for Amy to snap back into reality and maintain composure when the car door suddenly opens from the side of her seat, she steps out of the car and heads towards the entrance. There, she was met by the butler and waiter. "This way, Ms. Rose." The butler and waiter assists her on the way. Few minutes later, she heard the sudden laughter of 4 familiar voices. When she finally reached the table, the waiter and butler left right after. Amy smiled when meeting the stares of the 4 middle-aged figures and kissed them on the cheeks respectively as a gesture of her arrival.

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Hedgehog, I'm really sorry for not arriving at the exact time. The traffic jam was crazy on the way here." Amy explains as she sits next to her father.

"No worries Sweetheart, we understand. Also, on the way here earlier was pretty stressful because of the traffic as well." Mrs. Hedgehog sighs.

Amy laughs, trying to lighten up the mood. "I assume I didn't miss any talks, or did I?"

"Oh, not at all! We actually began 10 minutes ago." Mr. Hedgehog reassures.

Amy sighs in relief. "That's good to know, Why didn't you 4 start dinner already?" She asks.

"We were waiting for you and Sonic to arrive here, we were patiently waiting before starting the dinner. What's taking him so long? All we need to wait for now is him." Mrs. Hedgehog wonders. "Have you tried calling him already?" She asked her husband.

"I did, multiple times already. Just 5 minutes ago, he said he's near the restaurant already." Mr. Hedgehog confirms.

Another excuse.

"Well then that's good. We just need to wait for a little while."

Amy's parents nodded their heads in agreement, but she didn't.

Wait for him? No need, we don't need to.

"Why don't we start dinner now? Let's just start it while waiting for him!" Amy suggests. She smiles at the Hedgehogs, and then to her parents.

Let's just not.

The 4 individuals exchanged gazes, and Mr. Hedgehog then clears his throat.

"Well then, let's begin. Butlers." He claps to grab their attention, and they immediately come over.

"Yes sire?" They said in unison after bowing.

"Bring us tonight's menu."

"Yes sire."

After quite some time, the whole table was lined up with feastable meals and delicious drinks, everyone dug into their plates but one pink hedgehog couldn't stop staring at an unoccupied seat.

I knew he wouldn't come, what did I honestly expect? She sighs internally. I guess I'll stay here for 20 minutes, and I'll just go back home. She distracts herself by eating and talking to the folks within the table for time-pass. But her mind wanders off somewhere.

....

After an estimated 20 minutes, he still isn't here. Amy looks at her wrist watch to double check. It's past 8, and she was ready to go.

It's time to go on and go home. She said subconsciously.

"Remember the times when we went golfing and it suddenly rained when it was your turn?" Mr. Hedgehog laughs at his friend, reminiscing about the good old times.

Mr. Rose laughs back. "That was so all of a sudden, I genuinely didn't know what happened. But did you remember back when you hit the golf ball into the golf cart?"

"Yeah! That was so funny. I remember your laughing face, nearly dying out of laughter."

"It was so dumb! Haha!"

Both men laughed, and the wives smiled at their spouses' actions

Oh, they're talking about the old times. My cue to leave.

Amy stands up from her seat, which was noticed by Mrs. Hedgehog. "You're leaving already? But it's still a bit early. And you just arrived not so far from an hour ago."

"I have to Mrs. Hedgehog, I still need to work on proposal plans for the company back at home."

"That's my girl for you." Mrs. Rose said boastfully to her friend.

She giggled in response. "What a lovely young woman she had become. If only my 3 young men were as diligent as her."

"Well aren't they? Your 3 are all idols, all hardworking. One being the leader of their band and the future heir—"

"And also the fiance of your child."

Can't they see I'm still here...?

The 2 middle-aged hedgehogs giggled in agreement.

Amy sighs. Yeah, one being not able to meet his so-called "fiance" multiple times in a row. I should tell them tomorrow to cancel our engagement.

"Mom, Dad, Mr. and Mrs. Hedgehog. I have to go. Thank you for the wonderful evening and I'm sorry for leaving quite early. Business matters." excuses. "Until the next one soon!" She waves at them before heading towards the exit. A few steps from there, someone suddenly appeared. A familiar blue-colored hedgehog appeared.

"Sonic?"

"Phew..." Sonic puts the back of his palm to his forehead, wiping off sweat if there was any—He stares at the pink hedgehog in front of him. She stares back. "Did I, uh–miss something?"
