Everyone in the place went completely silent for a while, but the 2 hedgehogs still stared

At each other until...

He.. is here? He came? Amy could not believe it.

"Sonic The Hedgehog!" His mother screamed angrily at him whilst, approached him. This broke off the staring contest between the two, and snapped back into reality. His mother grabbed one of his ears and then pinched it. "Where in Sweet Chaos were you?! Did you know how many minutes we waited for you? It's a surprise you still managed to attend." She said sarcastically to her son.

"Oww.. Ma, I was really in a rush and there was a lot of traffic! I had to leave early from our band's rehearsal for the concert in a few days. I really tried so hard Ma." Sonic winced in slight pain. "So can you let go of your hand on my ears? It's starting to hurt!"

Mrs. Hedgehog lets it go and releases her hands away from Sonic's ear. She goes back to her seat hastily. "Hmph."

"I'm really sorry for not coming so early. You know my schedule." Sonic tries to explains, sounding very apologetic.

"Come on Dear, you know how much our kid tries, he's as busy as our other kids. Cut him some slack." Mr. Hedgehog cooed his wife.

She only rolls her eyes in response. "This is why he's growing a big head, you're always siding up with your son!"

"That's not why I'm trying to say Aleena..."

"Really? Because it sounds like it."

His father stared at him for help, but he shrugged his shoulders in response, also not knowing what to do. This was the time Amy tries to resolve and get in between the situation, she goes back near the table and said; "Mrs. Hedgehog, let's try to understand Sonic's situation." She looked at Sonic, before returning her gaze back to his mother. "As an Idol, it's very hard to keep up with the schedules. Even though it might or could have been the set schedule for the day. Even more than that, he's also taking care of the company for the both of you alongside Silver & Shadow. There are many things going on in his plate. I hope you are following what I'm saying." She smiles as she tries to explain.

Gaining some senses from what Amy explained, Aleena sighs deeply. "You are right. I was too overbearing." She sounds very apologetic. "I'm sorry my dear."

Sonic approaches her mom this time and hugs her. "No worries Ma." She hugs back, and they break it off. He sits next to her.

"Are you still going home Amy dear? Now finally Sonic's here, you should try staying a few minutes some more!" Mrs. Hedgehog tries to convince Amy, which made Amy think for a while.

The guy she's waiting for all these times, the rest of the evening was finally here. Will she choose to still go home?

"Aleena is right Sweetie, why don't you stay for a little while? We need to discuss things regarding the two of you." Her mother joins the persuasion. Which might've changed her mind.

"Alright." She replies and then checks her wrist watch again. "I still have 20 minutes, I really need to go home after those remaining minutes."

"Sounds good to me." Sonic replies as he drank the water from the glass.

She didn't respond, and she returned to her seat from earlier.

The discussion began.

...

"So what's your decision and opinion about this, son?" Mr. Hedgehog asks his son.

"..." He was completely silent. His father sighs. He diverts his attention to Amy, and asks the same question.
