(just an FYI-- they will not be wearing the pajamas that they originally wore in the movie)

They ran for what felt like hours, not saying a word, only panting.

They ran until they couldn't hear the explosions anymore.

"Oh shit," Dariush panted. "I told you that was a stupid idea! You idiots almost got me killed!"

Athena scoffed, "Almost got you killed? Are you shitting me-- I was stuck in that bus right before it exploded-- I literally jumped out the second it was shot up!"

"It's not my fault you were hiding!"

"I wasn't hiding, you asshole," Athena snapped, pushing Dariush, "I was stuck between a dead guard and my seat!"

"Whatever," Dariush said. "I don't even wanna be at summer camp! I should be in Cabo taking jelly shots off someone's ass cheeks!"

They all slowed to a stop, panting heavily.

Athena ran a hand through her hair, tilting her head back while she let out a deep breath before walking away from the group in an attempt to control the emotional breakdown that was building up rapidly.

"What do you think these things are after?" ZhenZhen huffed.

"Food, maybe? Resources" breathed Alex. "It's possible their planet went dry, and they came to raid ours."

"What gives you that idea?" Dariush asked.

"Nothing. It's the most common invasion movie plot."

"Maybe they're here to find mates," ZhenZhen offered.

From where Athena stood a few meters away from the rest, she called out, "That would explain Dariush getting dicked-down by the alien."

"Hey, woah. No. We're not gonna do all that, okay? I don't wanna see you talking after you were the reason why that happened-- and that was strictly platonic!"

Athena nodded, gathering up her hair to cool her neck down, "Well, I am a pretty good matchmaker-- and it was also not platonic, like at all-- maybe you can go back to their planet and produce a bunch of alien babies! Dariushians!"

ZhenZhen and Alex snickered while Gabriel laughed loudly, watching Dariush's expression turn wild in anger.

"I don't ever wanna hear you say some weird bullshit like that again-- I will leave you with the aliens. Look, let's just head north, okay? To the desert. Let's get as far away from that thing as we can get, all right?"

Athena sighed, walking back over to the group and standing right next to Gabriel, who, again, seemed to be in deep thought.

"There is no away from those things," ZhenZhen said.

"ZhenZhen's right," Alex said. "The only way we're going to survive is if we get this key to Dr. Fielding. It's what that soldier was gonna do."

"He died. Okay, look, if a bunch of bad-ass Marines can't get that key 40 feet away without getting deep-fried, what makes you think we can get it 40 miles?"

"We've already gotten it over 20 miles-- and the Marines are obnoxious and loud, are they not? We've gotten a lot farther by being quiet and not trying to fight back-- we can get it to Dr. Fielding if we stay hidden and quiet," Athena argued.

"Exactly," Alex said. "And we have to. It's on us."

ZhenZhen interjected, "Okay. We're not going anywhere until we get some food. Maybe even some sleep if we can."
