They were all woken suddenly by a loud crash, sitting upright.

Athena-- who had previously been fast asleep, her head resting on Gabriel while his arm was lazily wrapped around her, his hand resting on her torso-- stood with a start, walking towards the window and looking around to see what had made the noise.

Though she ducked quickly because hundreds of feet away, she saw the shadow of an alien.

Her hands shakily grabbed the curtains, slamming them closed.

"What--?"

Surging forward, Athena covered Dariush's mouth with her hand.

"Aliens," she whispered to the group.

"Yeah," Gabriel nodded. "We gotta go."

They got changed as quickly as they could. They just needed to hurry before they left the safety of the house to get away to someplace safer.

So, now, they were walking through the maze of sheets hanging on lines, whispering to one another.

"You see anything?"

"No, come on."

They had all split up, not yet realizing it, as they blindly maneuvered through the maze.

"Hey, guys, we should turn back," Alex whispered.

"We can't now, man."

"No, I'm telling you, this is how people die in movies--"

Athena had opened her mouth, about to tell them to all shut up, when a hand came from behind her, cupping firmly over her mouth while the other arm of the person gripped her body, pulling her closer to them.

The person dragged her away from her group as she grunted against the harsh grip, thrashing around, attempting to escape.

"I suggest you stay still unless you want me to shoot you in the fucking head," the man behind her said, his hot breath causing the hairs on the back of her neck to rise. "Now, you're going to stay quiet, or your friends die-- got it?"

She then heard in the distance someone cocking their gun as Dariush yelled, "Oh, shit!"

Nodding quickly, her eyes darted around, seeing two more men by her.

Of course-- nothing could ever be easy.

"Not another step," a man said, and through the sheets, Athena watched as a larger group of men cornered her friends, forcing them to back up.

"The hell are you doing out here? We're in the middle of an alien invasion."

"Oh, yeah, I mean-- you're the ones with the Purge masks. Wrong genre, bro," Dariush said, looking around.

You've got to be shitting me.

"We got a comedian here?"

They cocked their guns again, resulting in pleads of panic coming from the four of them.

Athena didn't know what to do at this point-- she was helpless and had to watch her friends probably get murdered.

"No-- no, there are aliens out here, okay? We're not the enemy!" Gabriel tried to reason while he looked around frantically, his eyes searching through the sheets, as if he was looking for something.

"You guys have something we're looking for."

"Dignity?" ZhenZhen asked.

Oh, for fuck's sake.
