Those lingering gazes were everything he had been avoiding

Those lingering gazes were everything he had been avoiding. Funnily enough, it caught up to him. There was no way he could outrun it this time. He wished they had been more gentler towards him.

Ironically, when he noticed the only comforting pair looking his way, he chose to walk away from them. Again.

"Jungkook."

He heard it just fine. What's more, he did not have it in him — to be unfazed by everything that had happened — to face Taehyung. He could not thank his music teacher enough for entering the class when he did.

Perhaps, this was what people called karma. Getting back at him for all he had done. He rightly deserved it; he said that already. The whole morning.

How cruel it was to have him positioned right in front of Taehyung. His stare was strong. Or maybe, he was glaring; he couldn't differentiate.

Dammit, his vision started getting blurry. He could feel his chest tighten; stomach dropping.

Baton raised, he could figure that much. Notes floated. His words did too.

"I hate you."

God, he'd puke if he stayed one more second. So he did what he does best. Run.

With all that he could gather, he ran out of the club room. Causing the choir members to gasp, not that anyone cared. So he couldn't care less.

He was all alone.

Bursting into the washroom, he hurled whatever came out of his mouth. I feel sick . . . he looked at his reflection. Another wave of sickness hit him and there he was vomiting his anxiety.

Hearing clicks of footsteps approach from around the corner, Jungkook scurried out and jostled towards the infirmary.

Why on earth did he think everything would be just fine?

🎸

Jungkook was a coward — that he had established over the years. But, certainly he did not feel proud of the fact. The boy dragged his feet on the pavement.

He let the air weave his hair as it liked. Wind was strong and it took an awful lot of strength for him to slash through, making it home safely.

Trees, trees, trees, ice cream shop, trees, park, grocery mart, on the opposite; everything made him sick. How did he even manage to reside here this long without any form guilt usurping him?

He wondered.

"D-Do you really think I'm a slut? Taehyung?" — "Well aren't you?"

To have it all erased from his memory, Jungkook shook his head vigorously. Though all that did to him was make him a tad dizzy.
