"I'm really proud of you guys! Go out there and show them how great you three are!" Ren faced his students with his hands on his hips and a proud smile gracing his face. His students gave him determined expressions. They didn't want to let their sensei down. They would win and show him that those 100 D ranked missions weren't for naught!
"Yes, Sensei!" Mina was the first to enter a large stadium-like area with Mirai and Isamu following closely behind. Much to their surprise, there were only about eleven teams there, significantly less than previous years. In a swirl of sand, a red haired man appeared on a podium at the edge of the stadium. He subtly reminded Mina of a panda, his eyeliner was super thicc.
"Hello, everyone. My name is Gaara, the Kazekage. This year's Chunin Exams will work a little differently than past years due to the smaller number of applicants. Instead of the usual three parts, we will start with team versus team battles. You will be randomly paired and whichever team wins that match will continue onto the next round for one on one battles. Good luck." He disappeared and reappeared in the stands with the other Kage. It was only then that the three noticed the stands full of people, mostly just residents of Suna though. All twelve teams, Mina's team included, were ushered toward an empty area in the stands just as another Sunagakure Shinobi appeared on the same podium as the Kazekage had prior.
"I will be the proctor for these matches." A screen appeared showing a randomizer. "The first two teams to battle will be," Mina's team held their breath before letting it out as the randomizer showed their faces, a little annoyed that they were first. They would be facing a team of Kumogakure Shinobi. "Uchiha Minako, Sarutobi Mirai, and Hazue Isamu of Konohagakure versus Hanzoni, Omui, and Daino of Kumogakure." Both teams made their way to the stage and stood across from each other.

"Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!" Mina exclaimed, blowing a huge fireball out of her mouth toward the other team for cover, her eyes blazing red.
"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!" Mirai added to the fire, making it larger, as she pulled out two hand-held blades. Suddenly, steam filled the stadium as the opposing team countered with a water style jutsu.
"Be on guard!" Mina shouted to her team, her eyes flicking around the steam to find out where they were.
"There!" Isamu suddenly shouted, his eyes narrowed toward where one of the Kumo ninja had jumped out of the cloud of mist in front of Mina, a katana flying toward her.
CLANG!
The Uchiha gritted her teeth pushing against the katana with her kunai.
"Bold of you to think you can beat me in Kinjutsu, Uchiha-chan." Omui stated cockily. Mina was in the middle of a battle, but she couldn't help but admire how his white hair that stood out against his dark skin. Mina showered her kunai harder in his direction, before backflipping away to separate them. She took a quick glance toward her other teammates. Mirai was clashing her chakra blades against a brown haired girl's kunai. Isamu's hand was covered in blue chakra as he jabbed it toward another brunette boy who jumped away from the chakra scalpel. Mina immediately faced the blonde boy she was fighting against, blood dripping from her cheek.
"I'd pay attention to your surroundings, Uchiha-chan. I want to see the true power of the once great clan!" Mina crouched into a defensive stance, and used the speed she had acquired from training to appear behind the boy and threw a high kick toward his head. Omui flew to the side and crashed into the ground. He immediately jumped up while clutching his bruised cheek. The blonde quickly grabbed his katana off the ground and began running toward her with an angered expression on his face, but he made one fatal flaw and that was looking into the eyes of an Uchiha. He immediately stopped in his tracks as soon as her three tomoe sharingan began to spin rapidly. His body was quick to slump forward onto the ground, rendered unconscious.
The red faded back into dark purple as she looked over at her team. Isamu's opponent was beaten up and had his limbs tied together with a thin ninja wire. Mirai's opponent was all cut up from her chakra blades and was passed out from blood loss. The Exam Proctor jumped down from the stands and took a glance toward the three Kumogakure ninjas.
"Uchiha Minako, Sarutobi Mirai, and Hazue Isamu move on to the next round." They let out a sigh of relief and headed back to the stands, a little beat up themselves.

After all the teams went, it was time for the one on one matches. Mina was one of the last to go. Mirai had gone against a Kusa ninja and Isamu had fought against another Kumo ninja. Mirai won her match, while Isamu lost his, though both showed much skill. Mina stood across from a Suna ninja, Roku. A boy with an enraged look on his lightly scarred face. His anger seemed to go beyond this simple match which confused Mina, who wondered what she had done wrong. As soon as the proctor yelled go, he dashed toward her with a kunai in hand.
"YOU STUPID UCHIHA ALWAYS RUIN EVERYTHING!" He yelled and the girl barely dodged his kunai which cut her shoulder. She narrowed her eyes as they faded to red. "IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!" Mina grabbed three kunai and threw them toward him with precise accuracy, but he moved, rearranging their aim. One ripped his shirt and cut his side, another cut his leg deeply, and the last one nicked his ear.
"I don't know what I did that could have made you hate me. I've never even met you." She stated, her voice calm but firm. Roku seemed to emit steam from his ears as he healed his leg. she decided to use his distraction to blow out a large fireball from her mouth toward the boy, which engulfed him in the flame.
"MY PARENTS AND SIBLINGS! THEY WERE MURDERED BY A WHITE HAIRED UCHIHA. MY MOTHER WAS HOLDING MY BABY BROTHER WHEN IT HAPPENED. I HATE YOU UCHIHAS!" Mina's eyes widened as he jumped through the fire, clothing singed and a crazed look in his caca eyes. She noticed a few burns dotting his body as he recklessly swung his kunai at her. Her irritation started to rise at the sad excuse of a shinobi. Having had enough, she jumped toward him, and grabbed his wrists tightly.
"Why don't you get a hold of yourself! You call yourself a shinobi, but here you are letting your emotions cloud your judgement. You're pathetic!" Her voice held an angry calm tone that made Roku shiver in fear. Mina reeled her head back and harshly headbutted him before sending him into a wall with a chakra infused punch. She wiped away the blood that was dripping down from her forehead as the smoke cleared revealing the unconscious boy in a crater in the stadium wall.
"Uchiha Minako is the winner of this fight." Mina smiled slightly as the audience cheered.

Mina, Mirai, and Isamu stood in front of the Hokage, who sat with a proud expression on his face.
"You guys were the only team that we had to represent Konoha and I'm pleased that you three did so well, 'ttebayo. Due to your great performance, I'm promoting all three of you to Chunin. Congratulations." The three cheered as they were handed their vests, especially Isamu who had failed his one on one fight. Mina was glad she had won, but her instincts told her she would see that angry boy again in the future. She only hoped her instincts were wrong.
Author-chan's Fun Fact: I'm sure the majority of you all know who that white hair "Uchiha" is. All I'll say to that is, who let him out of his cave smh 😒.
A/N: Heyyyy everyone! As you can see, we finally have our first kinda fight scene. Sorry if it wasn't that great, I tried lol. Maybe in the future I'll write Isamu and Mirai's fight, idk. I mostly wanted to just have the focus on Mina since she's our mc. Well, besides that, ya girl got her wisdom teeth out 🤪 and my fam really ate Chick Fil a in front of me (cry).
