(A/N: I love Kushina! She's so prettyyyyy and I'm so jelly of her gorgeous hair!)
"So you're coming with us back to Konoha for the Chunin Exams?" A subtle breeze tousled her clothing and the smell of the sea was very evident to Mina as she stood by the gates of Kirigakure with Kagura at her side. The two were waiting on the genin teams that would try out, some ANBU escorts, and the Mizukage. After they had all gathered, the Uchiha would escort them back to her village.
"Of course," his fuchsia eyes twinkled with an emotion akin to happiness which matched well with the smile on his face. "Chojuro-sama said that I should join him since I'm most likely to be his successor." The girl replied with a joyful grin, grateful that she didn't have to leave her boyfriend so soon.

Mina's amethyst eyes calmly observed the abundance of sea that surrounded her as she stood behind the boat's railing with her arms placed casually on them. The scent of the ocean produced a salty smell that made her want to scoop up the water and drink it. She was sternly told not to as a child though. The aroma that was emitted helped to steady her heart for she was ecstatic to return. She loved the ocean and hoped to live near it in the future. Mina only snapped out of her stupor when her name was called as land approached.
When Konoha seemed to appear in front of her, she smiled at who was waiting for her. She extended her arms out as her best friend jumped into them.
"Mina! I'm glad to see you! I just got back from Ame a few hours ago." The short-haired girl quickly pulled away when she noticed Mina's company.
"Welcome to Konohagakure, Mizukage-sama, Kagura-san, and little Genin." Mirai greeted their guests politely with a bow. Chojuro smiled courteously at the girl and bowed his head slightly in thanks. Mina handed off their care to another shinobi whom Naruto assigned as an escort.

"... and I sat with Mom in the stands. Sarada-chan did really well and so did Boruto-chan. You did a great job training them. Though, only Sarada and Shikadai became Chunin. It was because-"
"Because Boruto is too reckless." Decorations of pictures and assorted flowers dotted the walls of the small cafe Mina sat in. A cup of tea was placed in front of her along with an assortment of colored dango. Contrastingly, her companion had himself a glass of red juice, a new commodity that he had come to enjoy: tomato juice.
"That's right," Mina replied, taking a sip of her tea. Her dark purple eyes met his onyx ones that appeared to hold the very corners of the universe where no stars shone; an abyss of darkness. "I wish you could've seen them. They made great progress." The man hummed in acknowledgment.
"I had a mission. I apologize. You have been training Sarada with Sakura haven't you?"
"I have. I've been helping her with her Sharingan. She even gained another tomoe under my care." the female announced proudly, much to Sasuke's amusement. He reached out and patted her head in praise. "Can I know about your recent mission, Dad?" The man took a sip of his juice, looking thoughtful.
"There was a ninja that went rogue and was causing trouble. That's all I can tell you. You don't need to worry about it." Mina nodded, taking a bite of dango and releasing a noise of delight, its sweet flavor coating her tastebuds.
She furrowed her eyebrows in thought as Sasuke went to the counter to pay. Stuck in her own mind, she hardly noticed someone sneaking up on her and immediately grimaced as they threw their arm around her shoulders. She recognized those sleeves from anywhere. Mina tilted her head to see a certain blonde boy and if his mischievous grin and her instincts told her anything, then she figured something bad was about to happen. Something bad for her.
"What are you doing here, Boru-chan?" she questioned with a tilt of her head, and much to her horror, his grin seemed to grow. Unbeknownst to her, the blonde was ready to get revenge on his older sister figure for the time she snitched on him to his mother for playing video games with Shikadai instead of studying like he proclaimed he was doing. Not to mention that ridiculous nickname she kept calling him. When he saw Sasuke walking back, he started his plan.
"So, Mina Nee-san, how was your date with Kagura-san last week, 'ttebasa?" he casually commented rather loudly. Mina turned comically white in horror and seemed to melt in her seat as she saw what he was doing and if her dad's expression told her anything, it was that Kagura may not live another day.
"What's this about a date?" Sasuke's voice held a dark tinge. Mina wiped her head back to where Boruto stood, only to find him walking out the cafe's doors, cackling to himself.
"BORUTO! I'M GONNA KILL YOU, YOU USURATONKACHI!" she shouted as his figure disappeared. Mina turned back, so she could sulk, only to be met with a three tomoe Sharingan gazing at her with such an intensity that she almost fell out of her chair.
"What's this about a date?" He repeated his question. Yeah, she would definitely kill that brat.
Author-chan's Fun Fact: Sasuke personally invited Kagura over to the Uchiha household for dinner one day. When he was introducing himself with a handshake, Sasuke gave the boy a closed-eyed grin as he almost crushed his hand. Sakura and Mina proceeded to scold the older male and make sure Kagura was okay, while Sarada laughed boisteriously in the corner.
A/N: Hiiiii everyone! That chapter gave me a serious serotonin boost and made me feel better about what's to come next. *rubs hands menacingly* That's right, everyone, next week will be the beginning of the final arc in Mina's story, or the beginning of the end, as I like to call it! It's around nine more parts though, which I think is nice because I love Mina. She's my bby :(. Anyway, I have a confession...I watched the anime movie, Belle, in English Dub (which is amazing btw, pls don't kill me sub watchers) and so I've been binge-listening to the album and it's wonderful, ten out of ten.
