Having now stayed in the manor for several days, Enid had started to learn the little quirks of House.

After getting up from their bed, Enid brushed her fingers over the walls of their room with gentle reverence.

"Morning, House."

"You know you are under no such obligation to greet House each morning?" Wednesday inquired as she stretched some of the stiffness from her joints, letting out a soft yawn only Enid was privy to hear.

"It's only polite since he kept us safe and warm." Enid countered, moving to the closet to select her clothes for the day, only for the closet door to open for her.

"See? Pays to be nice." Enid teased with a tinkling chuckle. "Thanks, House." She said, touching the closet door gently in thanks.

Needing a topic change, Wednesday padded over to Enid, still half asleep, seeking her warmth as she wrapped her arms around her waist, pressing her face against her chest.

"Wedns... I need to get dressed." Enid chuckled.

"Then you should not be so comfortable and warm." She protested, nuzzling into her chest with a content hum.

"We can cuddle on the couch after breakfast. You can even a nap if you want to." Enid suggested, looking through the clothes while her little koala clung to her.

"Deal." Wednesday relented, reluctantly releasing her.

After breakfast, true to her word, Enid lay on the couch, Wednesday curling into her side, back against the cushions as her arm lazily looped over her belly, cheek resting comfortably against the blonde's chest as she nodded off.

Enid idly scrolled through her phone while Wednesday napped contently, the fireplace already roaring with a warm fire, the sound surprisingly soothing for the young wolf, but not as much as the soft breathing of her raven against her.

She gently scratched her nails at the nape of Wednesday's neck, playing with the soft baby hairs that refused to bend to Wednesday's will and join her meticulous braids.

She wasn't sure when she nodded off, but she was later stirred by the sound of the front door opening and several pairs of feet walking inside, new scents overwhelming her.

It was when the intruders walked closer that Enid couldn't hold back the threatening growl that rumbled out of her, holding Wednesday closer against her.

"Ah, protective. That's good! Always good to have keen instincts." A tall, bald man in a long black trench coat said. "You must be the colourful roommate my protégé mentioned." He said with a manic grin, offering his hand to shake.

"Who're you?" Enid said with a low growl, cautious of this strange person.

"Ah, right, yes. Where are my manners. Name's Fester. Fester Addams. Gomez's brother. Pleasure to make your acquaintance..."

"Enid. Enid Sinclair." She replied, taking the offered hand to shake, careful not to disturb the still sleeping Wednesday, feeling her muscles in her arm tense as a sharp shock ran down it. "Ouch!"

"Apologises. I don't suppose I could say hello to my niece?" He asked, quirking an eyebrow, properly talking in the sight of his touch averse niece comfortably cuddled into the colourful blonde, actively hugging her even in her sleep, the most relaxed and at piece he had ever seen her.

"Not now. She's sleeping." Enid replied, leaving no room for argument, Wednesday shifting slightly in her sleep, pressing a sleepy kiss to Enid's sternum before she resettled.

"Yes, of course. Of course." He replied with a bright grin, looking down at Wednesday's peaceful face fondly. "Seems she chose well. Always nice to have a new creature in the family. Now, where has Thing skuttled off to?" He mused, walking off further into the manor, leaving Enid slightly confused by the whole interaction.
