Wednesday calmly took Enid back up to their room and into the bathroom, noting curiously that the bathroom door had been returned to its hinges, sitting her down on the edge of the bathtub as she started drawing it for her, carefully filling the rising water with some of her bubble bath liquid she allowed herself to indulge in occasionally.
The room filled with the scent of lavender and jasmine, scents that conjured up soothing memories for Wednesday after long days as a child learning to fence with her father, or frustration learning cello when the instrument dwarfed her little body.
"Smells nice." Enid murmured, nuzzling her face into Wednesday's hoodie.
"I had hoped it would calm you down considering the nature of your outburst." Wednesday replied, dipping a finger into the water to test the temperature.
"He shouldn't have touched you. I heard you say no, that we're dating and he didn't listen." Enid growled, feeling her anger rising again.
"You made him pass out when you transformed." Wednesday offered, hiding her smile as she pretended to focus on the rising water.
Enid smirked, somewhat pleased with herself.
Turning off the water now that the bath was full, Wednesday went to take her leave.
"I will be outside if you need me." She said softly, only for Enid to catch her wrist gently.
Wednesday looked up at Enid, taking in her desperate eyes and trembling fingers.
Staying put, Wednesday turned her back, giving Enid privacy.
The blonde sighed softly with relief, unzipping the hoodie, letting it fall in a pool around her feet before she stepped into the deliciously warm bath, sighing in content as she sunk her aching body into the hot water.
Wednesday moved to the cabinet under the sink, pulling out a small basket that she was somewhat surprised was still there after all these years.
"Would you like these to accompany you?" She asked, holding out a Kraken bath toy to Enid, who simply stared back at her blinking in confusion and bewilderment. "This used to accompany me when I was small. Along with these." She continued, pulling out small ships and holding both out to Enid, who took the offered items with a fond smile.
"You had bath toys?"
"Many a battle was waged. I enjoyed sinking the ships." Wednesday replied, a small smile crinkling the corner of her mouth at the memory of viciously splashing about, soaking her father in the process of her fun as he laughed with a broad grin.
"Can you pass me a washcloth please?" Enid asked, thumbing over the Kraken toy.
Wednesday returned the basket back to its place and fetched the requested item for Enid, handing it to her. She continued to watch Enid, who winced when she tried to move her sore muscles, making Wednesday roll her eyes watching her pathetic attempts.
"Give it to me." Wednesday demanded, holding out her hand expectantly to Enid.
"I can do it." Enid protested weakly.
"I am sure you could, but you do not have to put yourself through unnecessary pain just to prove you can do something. Allow me." Wednesday reiterated, watching as Enid gave a small huff of defeat and handed over the washcloth.
Wednesday dipped the cloth into the bathwater, wringing out the excess water before wiping Enid's face gently, feeling the werewolf lean into her palm as she brushed the soft cotton cloth over her cheek.
Wednesday next gently fished Enid's arm out of the water, rinsing the towel before wiping over her hands and arms, discovering a few unexpected ticklish spots along the way.
