Once Wednesday was properly calm again, Enid having made sure she was stable, holding her as long as she needed, savouring every single second, they didn't speak of Wednesday's breakdown again.
Enid excused herself for her much-needed shower, Wednesday waiting patiently for her to finish, not quite ready to leave the safety of the room yet.
Fresh and clean, Enid came out and started to collect her clothes to change into, Wednesday avoiding her eyes to give the werewolf some privacy.
Enid got dressed in her pink jeans, pink converse, pink knitted sweater, and fluffy pink coat, all while Wednesday sat patiently for her to finish lacing her shoes.
"Enid... Would you..." She cleared her throat uncomfortably, unsure if this was okay for her to request. "Would you braid my hair?"
Enid blinked rapidly in surprise, before her expression softened and she crossed the room to Wednesday, wrapping her arms around her waist as she pressed their foreheads together.
"Of course. I'd love to." She beamed. "You sure it's okay?" Enid asked, gently carding her fingers through her raven's hair.
Wednesday nodded, leaning into Enid's hand on her cheek, pressing a light kiss to the inside of her wrist.
Enid led Wednesday over to the desk, picking up the brush and slowly ran its teeth through her long tresses. The raven-haired girl's eyes fluttered closed in content, letting herself enjoy the simple action of having her hair brushed, Enid's fingers smoothing over her hair with each pass of the brush.
Did Enid know how significant it was that she had her hair down in front of her?
Let alone the fact she was allowing her to braid her hair?
Did she know how intimate it was for her?
That it was almost more intimate than the touching of the night before?
But how could she? Wednesday had never even considered the possibility before that she would ever let anyone touch her hair, and therefore the reasoning behind why never needed to be explained.
Enid pulled Wednesday out of the content little trance she was in with a brief kiss to the cheek before she started separating her hair and started the process of braiding it. Her nimble fingers made surprisingly quick work of the braids, tying it with a spare pink elastic before moving to braid the other, securing that one with a lilac elastic, smiling as she surveyed her work, tilting Wednesday's chin up to look at her with a light finger under her chin.
"There. All done." She smiled, taking her raven's hands, and pulling her up to her feet.
"Thank you, Enid." She replied quietly, fighting against herself from pulling Enid down for a kiss. "I was planning on spending today in quiet reflection. Is that alright with you?" She asked, fiddling with the ring on Enid's finger.
"Of course, it is. I get you need your space right now." Enid replied easily, ever the caring and understanding person.
Enid let go of Wednesday's hands and opened her arms out wide in offering for a hug before they went their separate ways for the rest of the day, arms which Wednesday easily fell into, hugging the blonde tightly.
"Can I kiss your face? Is that okay?" Enid asked gently, leaning back in Wednesday's arms to look at the freckle dusted face she loved so much.
Wednesday's chest clenched painfully, touched that she'd made a point to ask first, not wanting to push her too far so soon after her breakdown, but missing when they were carefree enough to just act on those impulses.
Swallowing dryly, Wednesday nodded, the pained look leaking onto her face, which Enid gave a soft reassuring smile in reply before the blonde's lips pressed against her forehead, Wednesday's eyes fluttering closed as Enid's hands came up to cradle her jaw.
