Note:
This is Chapter 3 that picks up from where Alex gave Jessica a piggyback ride.
I was editing the previous chapters and noticed that Chapter 2 was too long, so I decided to divide it in two parts; Chapter 2 and Chapter 3. Apologises for the inconvenience caused.

Jessica Timbers P.O.V.
We arrived at the camping spot before anyone else and had began setting up a tent. Us arriving first gave us an advantage to choose the best spot. It was by evening, when Alex and I finished setting up my tent.
What I dreaded the most had happened and Mr. Abdel told us that he will assigning us a partner and unfortunately it was boys and girls separate tents.
Alex had to share his tent with a guy he knew from his class and I had to share it with a girl named Avery.
I haven't met her and hoped she was nice and didn't mind me sneaking over to my boyfriend's at night.
It was quiet dark when almost everyone was done with their work.
Derrick and I didn't talk after the short encounter in the morning but we did share a few eye contacts here and there. I couldn't miss how Rebecca was always by his side, laughing and flaunting her assets.
It would be a lie if I say I wasn't looking for him.
A huge camp fire was set up and students began to gather around it. It had turned slightly chilly in the evening so I had put on a loose cardigan over my top. Everyone was sitting around the fire, talking and gossiping with each other.
After Alex helped me with my tent he started with his own. I had asked him whether he wanted my help but he told me to rest and that he'll be fine.
So I sat near the fire waiting for him. I waved at anyone who would smile or wave at me. It was mostly the people who knew me. I felt kind of lonely sitting there all by myself.
"God! I can't believe that he's not picking up my calls!"
I whip my head to the side to see Samantha making her way towards the fire. Her friends; Rebecca and Lorry trailing right behind her.
She was wearing a printed halter top that tied around her waist, paired with light blue denim jeans. An expensive looking brown jacket over it and her heels. Her silky golden hair fell in perfect length down her shoulders that complimented her already good looks.
Her perfectly made eyebrows were frowned and she had an impatient look on her face. She was barely paying attention to her friends who were speaking to her.
"How does he except me to live here in this wilderness!?" She complains, checking her iPhone for what I assume to be calls.
"Hey babe!" Josh joins the group. He leans down and drops a kiss on her lips but she brushes him away and aggressively types away on her phone.
Josh was earlier sitting with us, talking to the other jocks but after noticing his girlfriend's sour mood, he decided to comfort her.
"What is wrong with you Sam? It's no big deal I am sure we can handle a week here!?" Josh sounded frustrated like he had this conversation with her before.
"Shut up Josh! You can stay here if you want but I am going home! And how dare my father send a watc-."
And she trips on her six inch heel for the hundredth time this day. Although Josh holds her waist before she could hit her face on the floor.A small laugh escapes me before I could hold myself.
Shit!
I freeze when her striking blue eyes falls on me. It was like I saw fire in then and all alarms went off in my head.
