Chapter 46. New student

After arriving home from Vespera, Ken was greeted warmly by his family and spent the time happily with Genesis, Emma and his younger siblings.

Telling them all about his adventures in Vespera and Darrumburgh, Ken was happy to spend some time with his family and just relax without having to worry about the drama with Clare and Luke or worry about how much stronger he has to get so he lives up to people's expectation.

For Genesis's birthday party, Ken took the family to town for a nice meal and instead of enjoying the cake at the restaurant, he took the group to a ice cream shop he scouted out while the family was ordering food and having ice cream for the first time with cake was a whole new experience for the children.

"Gwen. Here is some gold. Cake, ice cream, take the family to town, whatever you feel is good alright?" Ken whispered to Gwen while handing her a few gold coins.

"This is so much money!" Gwen whispered back as the rest enjoyed the delicious meal.

"Use it how you see fit. How's your studying coming along? Are you excited for the selection next year? Emma was able to pass all of the beginners courses while working full time. You all need to really study hard so all of her efforts get rewarded."

"We are all doing well in school. I feel the pacing is rather slow for me but it's the only school around so I just have to do more studying on my own. We all know how much you and Emma do to earn the money for us to go to school and get fed so we won't waste this opportunity." Gwen replied while stashing away the gold Ken just handed her.

"Yea, I haven't done much, but Emma is for sure working hard. Oh yea, Julia! How has your training been going? I met this boy in Vespera who is around your age and he is already crazy strong and all self taught!"

As the siblings chatted happily and ate, the night turned late before they eventually got home with the three younger siblings all fast asleep on the carriage.

With Ken, Emma and their mother carrying the three back home, Ken, Genesis and Emma said their goodnight and returned to Ken's room.

"Emma, can you stay in your own room for tonight? It's my birthday so let me have Ken please?" Genesis asked in a pleading tone.

"Fine. But don't do anything naughty or get too loud. If you wake up any of the young ones you will have to answer to my mom." Emma replied while giving the two suspicious looks.

Giving Emma a big hug, Genesis grabbed Ken and the two finally had some alone time.

"What naughty things did you and Alice do?" Genesis asked.

"Not much, she offered me a helping hand in the shower a few times and that's about it. She did say we could have done something else, got me curious but then refused to do it. Anyways! It's your birthday Genesis, so let me know what you want instead of talking about what I want."

"Let's do it!"

"It's your birthday Genesis, why are you offering to satisfy my curiosity."

"Well Ken, if you couldn't tell after all this time. I just want to be with you and as long as you are happy, that's all it matters to me so let me make you feel good!"

Couldn't refuse her offer due to his own curiosity and lust, the pair spent the night wide awake exploring their limited options.

With Emma back in the mix and refusing to let the two have alone time after Genesis's birthday, Ken spent the rest of his break being a rather good boy.

Soon, their break came to an end and like the year before, Emma signed up to go back a week early to help with the new students for the extra income and likewise, Ken and Genesis joined her to return back to school early.
