A month passed by, i pretend like nothing happened, i was acting like myself again.  Mia and i went to get something to eat and then headed back the outside class portables. As we were standing next to the portables we see miles walked in by himself. He then comes to us smiling. Hey girls miles says smiling. We say hi back and smile. I'm surprise your not with your girlfriend? Says Mia. Miles laughs and says "i broke up with her already, i felt like we didn't Have much in common says miles. I look at him surprise and say, I'm sorry to hear that miles. Miles looks at me and says, don't worry I'm fine While smiling. So miles you said you didn't have nothing in common with her but I'm sure you did enjoy eating her face everyday says Mia laughing. I look at Mia and laugh. Miles chuckles and says, not really.

I look at miles and playfully hit him. Don't say that miles i say laughing. We continue taking until it was time for our next class. Miles and i walked Mia to her class. After we dropped her off, miles looks at me and says "come I'll walk you to class as well". I look at miles and nod. As we were walking the wall we continue taking and laughing about other stuff. As we arrive at my classroom he hugs me and says, study hard shorty" i laugh and brake the hug waving bye to him. As i walk inside my classroom he then leaves to his.

During class i was thinking how come he broke up with her in such a short amount of time. I wonder what happened I thought to myself. Once class was over i went to look for Mia since we have class together for our last class of the day. Once i met up with Her we walked to class and sat together and began chatting about miles. After class was over Mia decided to come over to my place and spend the night since today was Friday. Her parents and my parents were okay with it. We both got inside the bus and went home together.

As we arrived to my house we headed to my room to chill and listen to music. After awhile we decided to go outside to get fresh air. As we went outside the boys were Already playing basketball, miles and Emerson were there already. As i was walking with Mia miles comes and says hi to Mia and hugs me. While miles is still hugging me i see Emerson with a serious expression on his face then slowly looks away. Miles slowly breaks the hug and smiles. I smiled back and he leaves back with the boys. Mia smirked at me. I chuckled and roll my eyes and we began to walk a bit around the neighborhood.

We were heading back to my house until we bump into Emerson. I looks Emerson and smile at him. I then say. "Hi Emerson" i say smiling. Emerson ignores me and continues walking home. Watching his reaction hurt, what's going on with him. Mia looks at me and says " what a jerk". I nod and we continue to walk home until we arrive. Once we were there the guys have left home.As we went inside the house my mother already had dinner ready for us to eat. I called my brothers and my brother and we all sat dow, did a quick prayer and began eating.

After we were done eating Mia and i washed the dishes. Once the wishes were done, we went back to my room to chill. "Kaliyah what if Emerson got jealous of miles hugging you says Mia. I look at her and say, I don't think so Emerson has a girlfriend now. I say changing the song on my phone. Mia then nods and continue texting on her phone. We continue to laugh and chat until we both got sleepy and went to sleep.

The next day, Mia and i decided to play basketball early in the afternoon. As we were playing we see Emerson girlfriend walking in our street. As she passes by we both say hi to her and she says hi back and continues walking to Emerson house. As she leaves we continue playing basketball until it we both got tired. We sat on the sidewalk to rest a bit, while we were resting i get a message from a friend named Linsey that she's coming over for a bit. I told mia and she got pretty excited to hear that Linsey was coming over.

After 10 minutes of waiting Linsey finally arrives.  She sits with us and began chatting with us.Linsey is a year older than mia and i. She's also a grade ahead of us but we've known her for awhile. As we were talking,we see miles coming out of his grandmothers house right in front of my house.miles smiles at me and waves. Linsey then looks at me and smirks. Hey Kaliyah he's cute you should talk to him. I blush and say. " no I'm too shy but i do like him" linsey laughs and gets up from The sidewalk and walks to him. As mia and i were watching linsey talking to miles wee began noticing her flirting with him. After a few minutes of them taking miles walks back inside his grandmas house.

Linsey then walks back to us smiling. "So what did he say?'  Says Mia. ". He said that he only like Kaliyah as a friend only and that he thinks am cute and wants to get to know me. He even asked for my number and i said sure, so i gave him my number. I look at Linsey hurt that. She did that especially her knowing i liked him. Linsey continue smirking at me. "Are you going to talk to him?" I say to linsey. Linsey nods and says " of course he's too cute". I then at her and say " good for you  then" while walking away.

Mia chased after me and Linsey decided to leave. After Mia was able to catch up to me she hugs me and says "she's such a fake friend, and he's a jerk for playing with your feelings". I began to cry on Her shoulder because I couldn't believe Linsey has betrayed me. Mia walks me inside the house to my room and puts a movie that we both Enjoy watching. Once the movie ends we began getting hungry so we ordered pizza.

As we began to eating Mia gets a call from her mother saying she's outside. She eats her pizza fast gives me a hug and runs outside to her moms car and drives away. I was left alone again. I decided to clean up my room a bit and took a nap afterwards.
