As the months passed by, i had to focus more in school since finals were coming up soon. I was in my last year of high school so i really needed to focus a lot more. Besides that i was close on Finishing my clinical hours to finish the medical program. I was excited but nervous for the future. I had plan on what i wanted to study and where to began my college education at. I would stay after school with Mia to study for our finals. She was helping me study for math and i was helping her study for English and American history. After our study session we would walk to her grandparents house and wait until my parents would come pick me up.

The next morning, i got to school early and met Mia in our usual spot. As she arrives she looks worry and nervous. I look at her and say " hey are you okay?" Mia looks at me and says " I don't know if it's a good idea to tell you since Miguel told me not to, but I'm afraid if I don't you'll probably find out sooner or later." Says mia. Hearing her say that worries me. I began to to get anxious, my heat is pounding fast, i feel like i Can't breathe well, i feel like i might pass out. Mia notice me getting anxious and tells me to sit down on the floor but i refuse. " Kaliyah its better if you sit down, I'm just worried how you might react to this sudden news."says Mia.

I knew something wasn't right since last night. As i sat down on the floor, Mia sat with me and held my hand. " Kaliyah last night Miguel called me saying that Emerson girlfriend is pregnant" says mia looking at me sad. I couldn't believe it, i knew something was off when he came to speak with jay last night, and why he was ignoring me. It All made sense now. Tears began falling from my eyes, i felt like my heart was stabbed multiple times. Mia immediately hugged me tight, telling me that everything was going To be okay When i knew it's not. After i was done crying Mia took me to. The restroom to wash My face and walked to class. My mind was full of thoughts, I couldn't stop thinking of Emerson becoming a father. As the day went by, Mia wanted me to spend time with her at her place.

I agreed since i needed the distraction and it was a Friday. Her parents took us to this country club restaurant to eat and to dance the night away. Mia was wearing a short peach color lace dress with dark brown cowgirl boots and i was wearing a ivory short lace dress with light brown cowgirl boots and a light blue Jean jacket. Her older sister did our makeup and hair. We just had our hair in soft waves nothing fancy since we were going to be dancing a lot. As we get there, i see a lot of teenagers and young adult having fun dancing and eating. As we find a table for ourselves, Mias dad order the food for us while Mias mom stays with Mias little sister and us. Once our food arrive we began to eat and chat. After we were done Mia pulls my arm and takes me to dance with the rest of the teenagers on the dance floor. A country line dance song began to play and everyone began to dance so does Mia. I wasn't good at dancing so I watch their steps before trying it. As i get the hang of it, i began to dance with the rest and dance my heart out.

We continue to dance until we got tired of dancing. As we go take a seat with Mias family to rest a bit,i check my phone and see a message from miles. I ignore his message and set my phone back inside my purse. We sip a bit of our drink and run back to the dance floor to dance. After another hour of dancing sadly it was time to go. I had so much fun dancing and spending time with mia and her family. After we left the restaurant they took me home. As we arrive at my house from Mias window I see Emerson, jay and the rest of the guys taking outside. As i get off the car and thank Mias parents for everything, i tell mia to call me later and wave bye to them as they leave my driveway and drive away. As I walk in front of my brother and his friends, they all looked at me with awe. Miles and Emerson kept looking at me not caring if my brother was looking at them stare at me. My brother notice and says " Kaliyah why are you dressed like that? Go get change. I laugh at my brothers reaction and walk inside the house.

Once I get to my room and change quickly, I realize that I forgot my purse outside when I got down the truck. I placed it on the table outside when I was trying to get my phone from my jacket. Dam, I have to go outside and get it. I honestly didn't wanted to see none of them especially Emerson. As I go outside to get my purse, I see jay busy taking to the rest of the guys and Emerson in his own world until he notices me. He continues to stare at me not saying anything to me. As a car passes by I follow the car with my eyes and so does Emerson. As the car vanishes I continue to look to that direction but notice from the side of my eye I see Emerson looking straight at me, after I look back at him he looks away. As i get my purse and run back inside.

I quickly get my phone and dial Mias number, as Mia answers I tell her everything. She stays quiet and says "Kaliyah just please continue to move on without him"says Mia. I stayed quiet and agree with her. After we were done chatting. I look at my messages and see miles messages that says "you looked beautiful today" i smile at his message and place my phone to charge as I slowly went to sleep.
