Its not true.

I wake up to the sun beaming on my face. I turn my head and see that Billie never moved, she held me in her arms all night. I've never been this close to her face before. The way smirks in her sleep, or the way she raises her eyebrows every once and awhile. I never noticed her freckles, they are light at school but in this lighting, so close, I can see them perfectly. It's no secret that she is the epitome of beauty. Her eyes and hair. Her big personality. She is perfect.

"Woah way to be a creep." Billie laughs as she covers her eyes with her hands. I didn't even notice her wake up. She saw me staring?!

"I'm sorry- I- I didn't mean to." I stutter.

"I'm messing with you, well a little, you did scare the shit outta me." She laughed.

"I'm sorry." I giggle

"Don't worry about it." She says as she's cut off by her mom knocking on the door.

"Come in." Billie said.

"Hey Billie I just wanted to let you know that you have to leave in thirty minutes." Maggie announced.

"Okay I'll be ready." Billie sighed.

"Oh you're leaving?" I asked.

"Oh yeah sorry Finneas has this thing and needs me to tag along." Billie said as she sat up. "But don't worry! You can spend some time with my mom! She really wants to get to know you." She smiled.

"Okay." I smile.

"Okay. I'll see you in a few then?" She confirms as she gets out of bed and grabs a change of clothes.

"Yeah." I confirm.

"Okay, bye." She smiled as she walked out of the room and into the bathroom to get dressed.

Billie really is something else.

"Oh hi Eden!" Baird smiled as I walked into the kitchen.

"Hi Baird. May I have a water please?" I ask.

"Of course, you don't have to ask Love." She smiled as she opened the fridge and grabbed a water bottle.

"Thank you." I smiled as I grabbed the water and started drinking it.

"So I was thinking...If you were comfortable with it of course, I was thinking I could take you to go shopping today? Get you some new shoes and clothes even?" She smiled.

"Oh thank you for the offer but that's way too much. I could never accept that much, the water and the food, I mean, You have already shown me the most kindness I think I've ever seen from someone." I smile.

"Oh honey that's no problem. I really would like to get you some new things though, you are a really good kid Eden and right now you don't have anyone investing into you. Let me do that for you. What do you wanna do when you graduate?" She asked.

"Uh, I don't know I've always wanted to be a veterinarian but I also love photography. The way you can capture feelings, it's such a beautiful art." I smile.

"Hm photography. That takes some talent. I'm sure you probably have a camera right?" She asked.

"No actually I don't..But I do have a camera on my phone! And I take all sorts of pictures!" I smile.

"Oh! Could I see some pictures?" She asked. Genuinely finding what I say interesting, she genuinely cares.

"Sure! Of course my camera on this phone isn't all that good because it's old but I'm in no place to complain. I'm really grateful for it you know? It's a very nice thing for me to have." I smile as I pull up some pictures I've taken.
