"Is it true?" Billie whispered.

"Is what true?"

"What you just said." She chuckled.

"Oh yeah, her and smith go way back." I smirk.

"Damn I think I've finally found my match." She smiled.

"Must've." I smiled.

-

"As promised." Billie smiled as she hands me my phone.

"Thank you!" I whisper yell.

"No problem." She smiled. "Are you hungry?" She asks.

"Yeah actually I could go for food." I smile.

"Wanna go to Taco Bell?" She asks.

"What's Taco Bell?" I ask.

Her smile drops and her eyebrows furrow. "How do you not know what Taco Bell is? Do you know any fast food places?" She asked.

"What's fast food?" I furrow my eyebrow's.

"Unacceptable. Come with me." She said as she stands up and grabs my hand.

"But I can't have any absences." I sigh.

"Dude it's fine no one will know, I promise okay?" She said, looking me in my eyes.

"Okay." I smile. She leads me out of the school and into her car.

"What's your favorite song?"

"I'm not allowed to listen to music."

"Why not?"

"Because my parents don't like it."

"Do you have headphones?"

"Hm?"

"Headphones? So no one else can listen, just you?" She asked.

"Nope." I shrug.

"Uh dude this is literally a life changer! She giggled as she pulled out a pair of earphones that were neatly rolled in her pocket. "Here!" She said, handing them to me." Thank you! I smile. "It's no problem!" She smiled as she pulled out of the school parking lot and started driving to Taco Bell, whatever that is.

-

"Uh can I get six bean burritos and...What do you want?" She asked.

"Six?!" I whisper yell.

"Oh yeah that's nothing." She giggled.

"I'll eat whatever you give me." I shrug.

"Dope. And uh actually just make that eight." She said.

-

"Here!" She smiled as she handed me a burrito, we were sitting on the grass outside of the school by the bleachers.

"Thank you." I smiled.

"No problem!" She smiled as she grabbed a burrito for herself. "So..Uh..My mom told me that you only have a mattress in your room." She says as she eats the burrito.

"I knew it was you that called." I shake my head.

"Well I was worried okay? You didn't sound..Okay." She said.

"Well yes the only thing I have in my room is a mattress on the floor." I shrug.

"Why?" She questioned.

"Because...I just do." I say picking at the grass.

"Eden...You know that's not-" Billie started but I cut her off.

"Yes I know "that's not normal." Well you know what Billie that's my "normal." I'm so sorry that you just don't get what it's like to be me. Not everyone is like you and has billions of shoes and a million clothing  pieces. Not everyone can dye their hair and shower everyday. Not everyone can eat and drink whenever they want. Not. Everyone. Is. Like. You." I say pointing my finger at her.

"Eden... I-" she started

"No just drop it." I said as I got up and started walking away.

"Eden don't run away from me." Billie shouts.

"Don't fucking yell at me!" I yell as I turn towards her, her expression unreadable.

"I- I didn't-" She stuffers out.

"Don't you ever fucking yell at me again." I whisper as I point my finger at her and turn around and start walking, I decided the bathroom would be the best place to hide for now.

Billies pov

I didn't even think about how sensitive she might be to someone raising their voice towards her, I really feel like a dick now. I wanna find her and apologize but I feel like it might be too soon, Maybe I should just wait it out, wait for her to come talk to me. I think as I walk into the school and back to the study hall.

"Hey, where's your girlfriend?" Zoe teases.

"Dude she's not my fucking girlfriend." I huff in annoyance.

"Well where is she?" She questions further.

"I don't know, wherever she is I'm sure she's mad at me." I sigh as I sit down and cross my arms.

"What happened?" Zoe asked, her facial expression softening as her voice was laced with concern.

"I don't know, I guess I just pushed her boundaries too far and now I'm sure she's not gonna talk to me anymore, you know I do this every time, every fucking time. Unbelievable." I shake my head.

" Hey, don't blame yourself. How could you know where her boundaries are if she never told you? I'm sure she never told you her boundaries because I know that you would never push past those, not for her anyway. I see it in your eyes, something's different about her." Zoe smiled.

"You're right, she never set boundaries with me but I just feel like..I should've known." I shrug.

"You couldn't have Billie, your overthinking this." Zoe says, shaking her head.

"I don't think I am." I shake my head.

"Well-" Zoe starts but is cut off by our classmates.

"Fight fight fight fight!" They all chant, it's coming from a distance but I can still hear it from here. I look at Zoe and she looks incredibly confused. "Let's go see what it is." I shrug as I get up and walk out into the hall. "What happened?" I ask a kid.

"You didn't hear? A girl got jumped in the bathroom!" The girl shouted.

"Which bathroom?!" I ask.

"The southeast one." She shrugged.

"Eden." I whisper as I start to shove past the crowds of kids.
