I don't know how long it's been but with all this music I don't care. This is fantastic.I see light come from the top of the stairs and that's my signal to hide everything, I quickly shove everything into my pockets as my dad reaches the final step. "Here." He says as he throws me a backpack filled.

"What?" I question.

"Go to the stupid field trip." He says as he walks up the stairs.

I get up and start weakly walking to the stairs. The lack of food and water mixed with no lights has me feeling ill. "Have fun." My mom says sarcastically.

"I will." I say as I open the front door and start walking to the school.

As I arrive at the school there are multiple school busses lined up along with a line of kids. I walk up to one of the teachers. "Ah Eden! Very nice to see you!" My math teacher says. "Do you have your permission slip?" He asked.

"Uhh." I say as I take off the bag given to me by my father and start searching for it. "Here." I say finding it in one of the side pockets.

"Nice! Okay your on buss B! You can go line up."

"Okay." I say walking over to the buss, the bright sun is starting to rise and my eyes are not liking it. "Eden?!" I hear a familiar voice shout as I feel arms wrap around me.

"Billie?" I ask.

"Mhm." She says, keeping me in her arms.

"I missed you." I sigh. Taking in her scent, I still haven't opened my eyes since the sun started rising.

"I missed you more. What group are you?" She asked.

"B" I whisper.

"Perfect." She said.

"Okay guys you can start boarding the buss now, please no pushing." A teacher calls out.

Billie grabs my hand and starts pushing all of the kids for a spot in the back of the buss. After she sits down she gives me another hug.

"I know you didn't run away." She said. Her long nails gently scratching my scalp.

"Run away?" I question as I attempt to open my eyes, fuck it's bright in here, so I squint instead.

"Yeah? The police reported that you ran away." She said. "I didn't believe them though."

"Wait the police? How do you know what they reported?" I question.

"My mom has friends who have friends who may or may not be police." She shrugged.

"No I never ran away. I don't know anyone but you." I shake my head.

"Where were you?"

"I already told you, I was in the basement." I shrug.

"For a week?!" She whisper yelled.

"I don't know how long it was, time flew when I had those earphones you gave me, life changing." I smile.

"Oh yeah? What do you listen to?" She asked.

"Why don't you take a listen for yourself?" I ask as I pull out my phone and plug in the earphones, handing her one.

" your phone is almost dead, take this." She said as she pulled out a battery pack from her backpack.

"Thank you." I smile.

"No problem." She smiled as I started the playlist.

How could you - Jessie murph.

We both close our eyes and I lean my head on her shoulder. Soaking in the music. After the first few seconds of the song, I fall asleep.

-

"Wake up Eden." Billie whispers as she gently shakes me awake.

"Hm?" I ask.

"We're here!" She giggled.

" oh okay." I say as I get up and wait for her to lead the way, most of the kids have already left the bus, only a few are still on. Billie leads me out of the bus and into a group of kids, two teachers standing in front, facing us.

"Hello Kids! I hope you are all prepared for your week long stay here at the woody campgrounds."

Our group stayed quiet.

"Well..Everyone will have a tent. You and your partner must build it together otherwise you will have nowhere to sleep!" The other teacher continues

"Who's our partner?" One kid spoke up.

"Whoever you were partnered with to do the pamphlet." The teacher smiled." Now! Breakfast is at 6a.m-8a.m Lunch is at 12p.m-2p.m and dinner is from 6p.m-8p.m. Lights out are at 8p.m. Today so a free day! So roam! Have fun and don't get lost! Don't forget to fill out as much of your pamphlet as possible during this trip." He finishes.

"Let's go find our tent." Billie says, tugging me away from the group.
