chapter ten: Music video film

(Rory POV)

The next day we were at a set about to film the music video for Lost it all. It was a cover from a band called Black Veil Brides. I liked their music the longest. On the news it was all about my "apology" speech. "Rory Mintz, Apology turned vuglar jabs." was the headline. I wasn't mad at it. Actually it surprised me since fans were actually fighting for us and not against us. It was nice knowing our fans were ride or die like that. The hair stylist was curling my newly dyed hair while the makeup artist was working on my lipstick. My hair was now black with dark green highlights. They gave me this silk long gown that was black as my hair was in a fancy bun. My bangs were the same as ever. In the music video I was supposed to be attending this ball party. Tomorrow me and the other girls are gonna be filming the band playing along with the gospel choir. I stepped on the set which was this big mansion we were renting for this music video. "ACTION!" the director yelled as I walked up the stairs and the doors opened. I walked into the room which had the song blasting as people dressed to the nines dancing in a waltz formation.

It was the next day and the girls were in the dressing rooms changing into fancy clothes while I changed into ripped leather pants with chains and a bandana hanging on them, a white band t-shirt, black leather jacket, and combat boots. I had my hair down while the makeup artist did a black and purple smokey eye. "Are we doing this all day or just half today and half tomorrow?" Jara asked as she fixed her long dress. Jara came to terms about her former besties. "Full. unfortunately." Rain said as she tied her tie before helping Blair with hers. Those two were the only ones wearing suits. Riley put her hair in a fancy bun as the boys walked in. Bill went on about the girls' clothes as Gustav handed me my phone. "Someones been blowing up your phone." he said as I nodded and looked. It was Avril. Avril Lavigne. Outside of the band Avril was a close friend. To me at least. I called her as the girls started arguing. "Hey. I've been trying to get a hold of you." she said through the phone. "Yeah, I can see. I've been busy." I said as she laughed. "I know I can hear it. Anyways, where are you?" she asked. "New york. Filming a music video." I said. "Queens?" she asked. "Yeah." I answered before leaving the loud dress room. "I'm nearby. Want to get lunch later? I have a free day." Avril asked. "Yeah sure. The girls are mostly working today. I should be done by 11:30. Should I drive?" I asked. "Yeah. People recognize my car too often. I'll send you the address." she said before hanging up and texting me the address.

Once I was done I left the group at the set. Of course Riley being Riley she always worries and asks me too many damn questions. I drove to the address which led me to a hotel. I texted Avril I was here as someone knocked on the window. It looked startled to see a girl and who I am assuming is her boyfriend smiling at me. I rolled down my window while texting Avril to hold on. Since she didn't seem to deal with fans. "May I help you?" I asked, smiling awkwardly. "I don't really want to bother too much but me and my boyfriend are huge fans and wanted to ask for a photograph or a picture?" She said, giving me a guilty look. "Uh yeah sure." I said exiting the car and signing their stuff and posed for a photo. Once they were done I entered the car and waited for them to walk off before texting Avril. After a few moments Avril practically jumped into the car, scaring the shit out of me. "What the fuck." I said looking at her as she grinned at me. "We'll, don't just stare, let's go." She said as I started driving. We ended up eating at some cafe on the main road. "So... what's with you and this Tom guy?" She asked. "Nothing. Why?" I asked while she bit into her sandwich. "I don't know. Just never thought THE Rory Mintz would fall for some German guitarist." She said as I gave her a look. She raised her hands in defense. "Riley tells me everything about you two. And then move on to the business of other company staff of yours." She said as I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, it sounds like Riley." I said finishing my food. For the rest of the day me and Avril hung out shopping and hanging out with some other friends outside of the group.
