My Math Teacher

Chapter 2

Me, mom, dad, and Casey walk over to the new neighbors house and mom knocks on the door. We it opens I see Mr. Parker, and I blush and smile. "HI! My name is Molly! Me and my family wanted to come and introduce our selves and welcome you to the neighborhood." She say and hands him the basket. He smiles "Hi I am Leo Parker, and hello again Luke and Casey." He say looking at us. My mom eyebrow raises "Ya'll have met?" she asked and he nods "Yes, Luke is my student I met Casey as they where going home after Luke's football practice," He say and my mom and dad nod. "So our son must be a joy in class," My dad says chuckling, and Mr. Parker nods smiling. "He is very nice young man," He says and looks at me. I smile and my parents nod. "We'll you'll have to come over some time for dinner. Will next Thursday work?" My mom asked.

Mr. Parker smiled at her and nodded "Yea that would be great," he says and my mom smiles "well have a great night," my mom says and her, my dad, and sister started walking home. I look at him and smile "I'll see you at school tomorrow Mr. Parker?" I asked and he nodded "Yea and please Leo outside of school," I blush and nod "Yea I think I can do that... Leo." I say and I see a tiny blush as he smiles. "Good night Leo," I say and he smiles "Good night Luke," He says and I start to head back home. Smiling like a crazy person.. maybe I do like him.

-Time skip-

Its Wednesday and tomorrow Leo is coming over to have dinner with me and my family. And the worst thing happened to me today.

/4rd period/

I stumped my foot on the table and yelled "Dammit!!" "Mr. Henderson! That language will not be tolerated in my classroom!" My teacher yelled. "I'm sorry! I stumped my toe!" I said and my teacher did not care. "You have detention after school Mr!" I sighed and nodded.

/Now/

Yea now I have to have detention after school with Mr. Parker and he could tell my parents so now I'm screwed. It's the end of 5th period and instead of going to football I have to go to detention. I walk in and keep my head down embarrassed because I have never done anything wrong to be here before. I look up and see Mr. Parker and he looked confused. "Mr. Henderson why are you here?" He asked and I look down "stumped my toe and cussed in the middle of class..." I say and then look at him. He starts to laugh "That's all? That is ridiculous who's the teacher?" he asked and I sighed "Ms. Mathews," he sighs "Of course," He said "She is ridiculous," He chuckles.

He gets up and walks over to my desk and sits beside me. "Don't worry I won't tell your family tomorrow." He said and I smiled and looked at him. "Thank you," I say and we look into each others eyes. Suddenly we start moving closer and closer, and then our lips touch. I realize what I am doing and pull away. "I-I am so sorry I didn't-' I start but he takes my hands. "Hey it's okay I'm sorry," he said and he looks at me and smiles softly. "Look I-I do like you, but I..." I start and he looks at me "I get it trust me I do... if it helps I like you as well," He says and I blush. "So we agree this isn't a good idea?" I asked and he nods looking down. I sigh and pull him into a hug. He hugs me back and whispers into my ear "I can wait for you," He said and I look at him and kiss his cheek. "Probably for the best. My dad is a cop." I say chuckling and he smiles.

"It's not because of that.. its because I don't want you to hold back on your future and I don't want to get you in trouble because of what we would become," he says and my heart flutters. "You are only worried about me, but I am more worried about you," I said and he smiles. "That is what you do when you care about someone. Luke I haven't known you long, but this past week has been great and I wanna get to know you more," he said and I smiled. "It has been great for me as well, and I want to get to know you more too," I say looking at him.

He look over "Oh detention ended 5 minutes ago. Time for us to go home," he said. "Yes it is," I said smiling. "Can I walk you to your truck?" He asked and I smiled and shook my head. "No, I told my sis to take the truck she has her permit so she'll be fine. I am walking." I say and he glares at me. "Nope I am taking you home," he said and I blush. "I'm sure I'll be fine its not far," I say and he sighs. "No I want to besides I don't trust people around here," He said and looks at me with puppy dog eyes and I sigh and chuckles. "okay fine," I said and he smiled and took my hand. "lets go!" he said and we started walking to his car. We got in and he started driving.

We got to his house since he was next door it made since. I look at him and smile "Thank you for taking me home," I said and he smiled "Anytime Luke," He said and I look at him and lean in and give him a small peck on the lips. "I know we said its not a good idea, but I just had to-" I started to say, but he cut me off by kissing me. I kiss back and we kiss for about a minute until we pull away. "It's okay.." he said and I smiled. "Good I'll see you tomorrow Leo.." He smiled and kissed my hands. "See you tomorrow Luke," he said and smiles.

I get out of the car and head over to my house. I walk in and I see my family and I smile. "sorry I know I'm late," I said and mom smiles. "It's okay. Casey told us practice might run a bit late," and I smile and nod. "Okay well I'm heading up to my room to get some rest and take a shower good night!" and I smile running up stairs getting a shower and heading to bed.
