My Captain

Part 56

 I woke up the next morning in my hotel bed, not knowing how I ended up in my bed. I carried you to bed, oh and I also texted Leah that you got back safe, Jill says. Thanks, and I'm sorry for yelling at you, and kinda exposing you yesterday. Don't worry about it Jay-Jay, and I'm also sorry, Jill says. I quickly get changed into my training kit, and grab my bag, phone and my airpods. I'm then headed to the pitch to do a bit of training with the girls who did not play yesterday. In training I scored a beautiful goal, and I also gave an assist in the small match.

After training I head back to the room to freshen up, and get changed into a pair of shorts and a Death Note t-shirt. I also put on a pair of worn off Vans, and tie a flannel around my waist. I'm going to a comic book store with Daphne, as we have the rest of the day off. Jill, Viv, Jack, Daan, Lynn and Lieke are going to watch a film in Jill and I's room. Both Daph and I aren't in the mood for chaos and loud noises. I make my way to daph's room with my rucksack on my back. I knock on the door, which is opened almost immediately by the goalie. Hey Juul, she says, greeting me. Hello Daphy, you ready to go, I ask her. Hey Jay, yeah I'm about ready, I just need to grab something like a jacket. Daph, you won't need it, it's like 25 degrees, that is very rare weather for England, enjoy it. I suppose you are right, Daphne says while grabbing her phone and wallet. How are we going to the comic book store? Wel we can walk as it's only 20 minutes away, but we can also skate to it, that will be quite quicker, I say with a smile. Well that sounds great but I don't have my board with me, Daph says. Don't worry Van Domselaar, I'm prepared for situations like this apparently, I have 2 boards with me. Let's go to my room so I can grab the boards for us.

I quickly grab my boards, the one I hand over to Daph is my newest pokemon themed deck. I keep the board that I bought after the one snapped. Here ya go Daph, I say as I hand her the board. I didn't think you were a Pokemon fan Cap, Daph says as she sees the deck. Well I've loved it since I was younger, and it never really went away I guess. Don't worry, I think it's awesome, did you play all the games, Daph asks me. Yeah I did, what about you? I started playing in like gen 6 i think. Let's go, I say as we walk towards the exit of the hotel, and we make our way to the comic bookstore.

We walk into the comic bookstore with the boards tucked under our arm. We walk around the store for a bit, while we are looking at the collectibles and all the things. We both get lost in all the mangas and comics, while we have fun as we talk about nerdy shit. In the end I have selected: the Death note complete box set, a Death note hoodie, a Naruto t-shirt, a few young avengers, Kate Bishop and Hawkeye comics, and a new Death note skateboard deck. Daph also found a couple comics, a beanie, and a Ryuk funko pop. I decided to not only pay for my own stuff, but also for Daphne's stuff, as like paying for stuff is sort of my way to tell people I care about them as I sometimes struggle with that due to my ADHD. We place most of our things into my backpack, the exception is my new deck which I just carry while we talk about what we're going to do next. So Daphy, do you want to head back to the hotel so we can maybe join the girls who are in Jill and mine's room or maybe just read somewhere, or do you wanna stay outside for a bit, I ask the younger goalie. Oh i almost forgot to mention it but Lynn is with Jill and the gang in my room. Daphne's head shoots up at the mention of the Wolfsburg defender. Well it depends on what film they're watching, Daph says. Shall i ask Jack or Viv what they are watching? Yeah please. I send Viv a quick text so Daphne and I can decide what we wanna do. Alright Vivi answered, they are currently watching dirty dancing but it is almost finished, and if Viv has heard it correctly they are going to watch the first three scary movies tonight after dinner. Well when is dinner tonight? Well if we get back in half an hour, we still have two hours left, as it's still pretty early, I reply. What do you say, you can decide, I say. Well let's get back now, then we can read in my room until dinner and afterwards we'll join the girls. Alright, great choice. And you didn't hear this from me Daph, but I know that Lynn gets scared pretty easily, and she always hides her face away from the screen in the side of the person sitting on her right, so if you want to score bonus points with her, make sure you sit on her right and comfort her. Daph smiles, I'll try to do that, but what if somebody else goes to sit there instead of me? Don't worry about that, I'll take care of that. But Juul, can I ask you how you know all those specific things about lynn. Well me and Wilms have been friends for quite some time, and well me, Lynn and lena Oberdorf were the chaotic bunch when i was still playing at Wolfsburg, and we always used to have a film night at our place with, Lynn, Obi, me, Jill, Jule and Sveindiss. And whenever Jill and Obi got to pick what to watch it was a horror film 9 out of 10 times, and well it's safe to say when it was a horror film, Jule, Lynn and I were always cuddling someone or something. It was always Jill and Obi who were making fun of us, but Obi still alway comforted Jule. and i was the one sitting on Lynn's right most of the time, so that's why I know this. And just to clarify, I'm only easily scared by certain films, I say smiling. Now let's get back to the hotel, I say while smiling at the younger goalkeeper.
