The next morning I woke up to immense pain in my wrist and face. I gently put leah from my chest onto a pillow, so I could quickly dress up and clean myself up a bit. While looking into the bathroom mirror I saw that the wound on my face had opened up again and was bleeding like hell. My wrist was also killing me. It was now around 7.15 in the morning, and we should head to training in like 45 minutes. Normally I would have made some breakfast but yeah that isn't an option at the moment. I walked back into my bedroom and saw that Leah was already fully dressed, with my training shorts and national team hoodie on. Hi baby, how are you? Honestly I feel like shit, my head and wrist are killing me. Do we need to head to training earlier so you can get checked up? Yes please, leah already had walked the dogs. So we could leave immediately.

Leah drove us to the complex, she was really worried about my injuries. As soon as we arrived, Leah parked the car. She brought me to the medical wing, to get me checked up. While walking to the medic she held my left hand really close, because she was really concerned.

When we arrived at the medic, Leah was not once found more than 2 metres away from me. She was also holding my not fractured hand. Yes you heard it, my wrist was badly fractured. I now need to have a cast for at least 2,5 weeks, and the euros are coming really close. So hopefully I'm fully recovered so I can get my team to a victory, as captain of our team. I also still got that wound on my face. The medic said it will heal, but it will leave a scar. With this all going on I couldn't train for the next 2 weeks, then I can go do rehab training. I really love my life right now! I stayed at the complex with Leah , with still half an hour left until the training starts.
