CHAPTER 11

Sidharth's POV

The moment Shehnaaz left my office, I ordered my assistant to come in again, as we were interrupted by that annoying woman, who sucked at acting!

I don't know why I didn't like the fact that she forgot to wear the engagement ring. I have no right on her, but still I feel some strong pull towards her. Something which I can't figure out. Is it lust?

"M- may I come in b- boss?" I heard Miss William's voice as I came back to my senses, before nodding her to come in.

"Kneel." I ordered taking my cigar between my fingers, before putting it between my lips.

"I am sorry, boss." Miss Williams said bending her head down, on her knees. Right now she is not just my personal assistant, right now she is a woman who works for the mafia king.

"How could you be so irresponsible? If this was about trésor, I would have let it go but it's about the mafia." I took a puff of my cigar as she kept looking down, trembling in fear.

She is my personal assistant, and I pay her a shit load of money just to make sure that my mafia deals and business deals are managed perfectly. These two worlds should never collide with each other. But she made a terrible mistake by almost sending the wrong contract to one of the trésor's clients.

"This won't happen again." She muttered.

"Do you even realise what could have happened if he opened that email, before you unsent it?" I exhaled the smoke as I gazed at her sternly.

"I would have to kill two lives. First yours and then his." Her eyes shot up to me before quickly moving her gaze down out of fear.

"Just because your father is one of my best men in the mafia, doesn't mean you can make mistakes and get away with it. This is your first and last time! Next time you'll be dead before giving any explanation." I took the last drag of my cigar before crushing it on the ashtray. "Y- yes boss, I understand. I am sorry." She spoke.

"Get lost." I said as she disappeared from my sight.

I focused on my macbook, continuing my work. After going through the recent project we were working on and ordering the project manager to rectify the changes I've made, I closed my macbook.

It's almost lunch time and today I doubt if I'll be having a peaceful lunch. Because apparently my mom wants to have lunch with her son and his fiance, I don't know why. When I tried to avoid her plans she just gave me a death glare which left no room for argument. Wearing my suit and adjusting myself I left my office.

I reached on her floor, walking towards the section where interns were working I saw all the chairs and cabins empty. Wondering where they have gone, I asked one of my employees about them and he informed me that they were with Arav.

I went inside my brother's office and saw all the interns were standing around his desk, almost covering him from my sight as he explained them about something.

"We will add these features in the former device and these to the latest one." Arav said while showing them pictures and graphs on his iPad.

"Sir, which is the latest device?" One of them asked while everybody else looked at him annoyed.

Arav sighed getting tired, "I am telling you for the last time, you see this one? With the new covers and crystal clear fonts with 'latest' written on it? This is the latest one!" He snapped as he showed him the picture on his iPad closely.
