An Annoying Lion

Thalia pov

I quickly turned around with Annabeth racing down the way I'd come to find Zoe and Bianca. We sprinted down a few corridors till it opened up into a big space exhibit which thank the gods, they were in there. 

"Zoe we need to leave now!" I yell as I race over to her.

"What?" She asked followed very quickly by a lion roar. We all turned around to see the Nemean Lion burst into the room. Now if you don't know what the Nemean Lion is well it's a giant golden lion. Practically impenetrable as well so lucky for us to try and kill it.

"On my mark separate." Zoe spoke "try to distract it."

"Until when?" Bianca asks nervously. Poor (what is the poor spelling for I feel bad for) girl was just introduced into this new world and is instantly thrust into a quest.

"Until we can escape or think of a way to kill it." Zoe states "Now!"

We all got our weapons out. Me with my mace canister, Zoe's bow, Bianca's bow, and Annabeths knife.

I charged at it charging my spear with lightning, Annabeth put her hat on and disappeared, Zoe and Bianca got on top of one of the spaceship props and start firing arrows at the thing.

Sadly those arrows just bounced off its hide doing nothing. The lion pounced at me which I barely sidestepped using my spear to shoot lightning at the lion, but all it does is shove the lion back no actual damage was done to it. "Why won't this stupid cat die like a good monster!." I complain.

It quickly turned around and bit at me. Thankfully I got my shield out in time and the lion bit around that getting it stuck.

The bad part of that is that I was still strapped to the shield so as it shook its head to get my shield out of its mouth I was being flung around with it arrows were flying by me barely going around as if the Nemean Lion was trying to block with me as the shield. It then managed to get the shield out and flung me at the plane prop making a dent in it that I rested in.

Looking up at the lion it seemed to be getting hit by something invisible. Annabeth I realized.

The lion seemed to have no idea what was happening and roared to attempt to get Annabeth to stop attacking it out of fear. All it did though was tell us the things weakness.

As I was prying myself out of the plane prop and summoning my weapons back I saw Annabeth's knife cut right into the gums of the Nemean Lion as it roared causing it to bleed. Now that's my ingenious little sister right there guys.

"The mouth," I shouted "Aim for the mouth!"

I got a nod of conformation from the two Hunters as Annabeth was swatted away by the lion. I charged back in slamming my shield into the lions head in the slap we are all familiar with but I am not allowed to say because PG ratings people so I'll put it mildly as the female dog slap.

So after doing that slap to the lion its head was jerked to the side and when it turned back it seemed to be glaring at me. No roar though maybe it knew what we were trying to do now.

The lion just clawed and slapped at me which I was barely able to dodge or block. I had no idea where Annabeth was all I knew was dodge and block although I was able to see the Hunters arrows constantly smack against its face.

Finally it was able to get me off my feet only because it surprised me though. It wouldn't have worked if it didn't though. Okay well anyway it quickly turned around and smacked me with its tail... Ok now I can hear some of you snickering so shut it.

As the lion was about to bite me I saw Zoe quickly getting off the plane prop and racing towards me. The lion wasn't able to take any bites out of me because I am awesome and totally remembered I had powers at this moment and killed it.
