Soon summer went by and I had to got to orientation pretty much going to school early to get a lay of the land. I only agreed to this because I need escape routes in case of monsters. I sat in my mom's car while we drive to orientation. "So, you're taking Annabeth to see Artemis and Thalia after this" Sally asks.

"yeah I want my best friend to at least meet my girlfriend and plus Annabeth wants to see Thalia since it's been so long since they've seen each other." I reply

We get to the school, and I walk towards orientation after bidding goodbye to my mom. I bump into some Empousia but don't say anything because they didn't attack me not like thats going to bite me in the butt later. I get to the gym and sit down in the most hidden seat away from people so imagine my surprise when someone sits down next to me.

I look towards them and see the girl me and Thalia ran into at Hoover Dam.
"do you need something?" I ask her. And immediately she starts asking questions so fast I can't understand her I never knew someone could talk so fast besides Arty when I make her really mad.

I raised my hand slightly to tell her to be quiet. "Ok ask one question at a time" I say,

 "fine who are you and the girl that's spear went through me." she asks I sigh knowing what is about to happen

"Alright I am Percy Jackson and that was Thalia." I answer her.

"how come the spear didn't hurt me."

"Your mortal." I state waiting for the anger.

"Whats that supposed to mean?" she growls at me.

"I call you mortal because I'm not. I am a demigod a child of a god and a mortal well more specifically a Greek god." I respond

"I knew it." Racheal says excitedly making me confused and seeing my confusion Racheal answers "I've been seeing a lot of weird things that no one else can see.

I was about to respond but then the person in front of us said "will you be quite the cheerleaders are coming on stage."

The cheerleaders walk onto the stage making Racheal gasp. I would follow the sentiment if I hadn't seen these things before Empousa creatures created by Hecate a hideous combination of a human body with a donkey leg a metal leg and flaming hair.

I shush Racheal quickly "If we meet again I will explain the rest but the thing you need to know is that Greek mythology is real. You should probably should forget all of this it will make your life a lot easier."

I look back over at the Empousa and see one of them boring their red eyes into me. "Okay we have to go now" I say ushering Racheal down the stairs.

"come on I know a place to hide but why are we leaving?" 

"Because the Empousa was staring right at me and they will probably attack you as well for associating with me." I answer as I follow Racheal into the band room. We enter the band room and I uncap Riptide just in case I need to use it."alright hopefully they won't fast us."

And just as if planned the door bursts open behind me revealing the two Empousa. I whirl around to look at them and point my sword in their direction one of them decides to come towards me "come on you don't want to hurt us do you. Why don't you stay a while maybe even a little kiss." they said. I could practically feel the charmspeak flowing at their seduction attempt.

They walk a bit closer towards me where they are in range as I pretend to be entranced that is before smirking though. "nice try" I whisper before swing my sword right threw her neck causing he to burst into dust.
