Germany, what a beauty. I ended up staying in a hostel for about two weeks to map out where I wanted to go. I have barely slept this past two weeks because I am so paranoid with the thought of my father or fiance finding me but the freedom is worth it.

After I left Germany, I headed to the Netherland on a bus to save some money. I decided to buy a sketchpad and some pencils and sketched whatever I saw on the bus. I sketched people, the scenery, and anything that popped up in my imagination. I would take frequent breaks to give my hand a rest but for the most part my hand is somewhat okay. I was at peace almost, being able to do my passion without anyone stopping me or having to hide it from my father. A smile crept on my face but immediately washed away after the image of my father.

Once I got to the Netherlands, I put my stuff down and went out to explore a bit around the city. As I headed to the city, I noticed a little town square where there were performers and painters. As I listened to the performers, I sat down on a bench and started sketching, the music navigating my hand as I closed my eyes and just listened. I opened my eyes a couple of minutes later to see an outline I made.

Of course it was a butterfly.

I don't know what attracts me to butterflies. The idea of freedom and transformation is what I want and am getting so far.

I continued to sketch the butterfly and let my hand and music guide me.

"What a beautiful drawing" An old lady said as she sat on the bench.

"Thank you" I smiled as I continued to sketch. She watched me sketch and I was concerned that she is working for my father or fiancé but when no guards came to get me, I assumed she was harmless

"Excuse me dear" she spoke softly as I put the pencil down. "Yes" I looked towards her.

"Could I pay you to paint me something like this. I've been trying to find a piece of art for my granddaughter's room and this is perfect. I would pay you ten thousand euros" she said. I was flabbergasted that she would pay this price, this wasn't even a decent work of mine.

"I couldn't accept that money" I shook my head in disbelief.

"Does twenty thousand euros work? Please, this is a beautiful piece and I must have" She said as my eyes widen.

"Uh-yes?" I said more of a question than a statement

"Great, how long do you think it would take?" She asked

"Uhh two weeks" I said thinking of how many breaks I would need plus the supplies.

"That works, here is my number" she write it down on a paper and pulls out a checkbook "and here is half now for supplies and the other half when it is finished" she wrote the check and handed it to me.

"Thank you, I will get it done as soon as possible" I gave the lady a smile and look down at the check.

10,000 euros

The amount is insane, I would have done it for 10 times less and I should have but the money would be good.

I asked the lady a couple of questions based and once the lady left, I ended up finding an art supply store and bought what I needed. I headed back to where I was staying and started figuring out a sketch and the pattern I wanted to do. When the sunset, I went downstairs to a small market and bought ingredients to make dinner. The place I was staying in had a small kitchen that was very useful and it was a small place but I liked it.

The next morning, I grabbed my supplies and headed back to the bench and started on my work. I was in my own headspace that I didn't notice a little girl watching me draw. I knew it wasn't my father's doing because he didn't have young children work for him especially not in the Netherlands and Roman didn't mention Nicolas having control over Netherlands. I didn't think much of it and continued my work.

I did this for two weeks and the girl watched for two weeks, intrigued by my work. When I noticed her again, this time I introduce myself

"Hello" I said sweetly, not wanting to scare her away.

"Hi" she shyly replied

"I'm l-" realizing I'm about to expose my name I quickly change it "Taylor, I'm taylor" I smiled

"I'm Nova" she said as she slowly got closer to me

"Nice to meet you Nova, I've noticed you have been watching me paint. Do you want to try?" I asked. She slowly nodded her head as I grabbed my sketchpad and handed her it with some of the excess paint I'm not using. I watched her paint and there were times she needed a bit of help which I explained what she needed to do.

When I see the old lady, I quickly excuse myself and finish my business deal. The lady loved it and paid the rest of what she owed. I was still trying to comprehend the amount she gave me, this is going to last me a while.

"Nova, this is really pretty" I glanced over her work as I see she tried to mimic the butterfly I made

"Not as good as yours" she sighed

"It takes a lot of practice, I can help you" I offered as I see her face light up

"Yeah, how about we meet up here everyday at 2pm, does that work?" I questioned as she eagerly nodded her head. "Great, now you should probably get home, it's getting late"

"Thank you Taylor, I will see you tomorrow" she expressed cheerfully as she headed off. I let out a soft chuckle and collected my things and headed back to my place. I stopped by and picked up some dessert to celebrate because I deserve this but I wish Roman was here to celebrate with me. Sadness continues to creep into my life even though I try to busy myself as much as I can.

For the next three weeks, I get to know Nova and help develop her art skills. She's actually good for not knowing much and she was happy to hear that. As I get to know her, she makes me feel like a big sister and I finally got a little sister I wanted.

Nova let out a big coughing fit, I quickly grabbed my water and handed to her. "Are you alright?" I asked

After her coughing died down she finally answered "yes, just a cough"

"That wasn't just a cough, come on let's get you some medicine" I started collecting my things and grabbed her hand. "Does your family not know you're sick?" I asked

"I don't have a family" she shrugged

"Oh, well I don't either" I shrugged too as smiles both crept on our faces that we could relate to each other more.

Nova was a 14 year old orphan and I was going to take her under my wing. I understood how it felt to not have a family and she fell into my path for a reason. Sometimes I think it's Roman sending me someone so I'm not alone so I thank him for that.

I bough nova the medicine and we ended up going back to my place.

"I'm going to make you soup, take the medicine and lie down" I said sternly as I grab the ingredients. I quickly made her soup and set it down in front of her.

"Thank you" she smiled as she dug into the food as if it's her last meal.

"Slow down, there's plenty more so don't worry" I assured her and brought myself a bowl. "I have a question and you can say no" she looked up, concerned but intrigued with the question. "Would you like to travel through Europe with me?"

A/n
