Nova stayed quiet for a minute, almost to see if she heard what I said was true. "Nova, do you want to travel with me?" I asked once again just for her to understand what I said was true and I her brain wasn't tricking her.
"Yes, yes I would love to" she beamed with a giant smile on her face. I wasn't surprised when Nova said yes, she told me she was in a group home and the guardian doesn't really care what happens to the kids they just want to collect the checks they get from the guardian.
"We will have to play a game though, every time we go to a country I have to change my appearance and name and you have to go along with it. Do you think you can do that?" I asked softly, if I approached this gently she will be more inclined to follow through it.
"Okay, do I have to change too?" She questioned as she continues to eat her soup. "Of course not, but if you want to then you are more than welcome to" I smiled
"I'll see but for right now I kinda want to stick to being to Nova" she finished her soup and tried to get up to wash her plate but I stopped her. I made the bed for her and let her sleep on it while she rest and I take the small couch where I continued figuring out the rest of my plans for the trip.
I decided our next stop would be Prague and from there Vienna then Switzerland then Croatia and hopefully permanently stay in Greece. I continued organizing my different identities for the different countries, in Prague I will be Patricia, in Vienna I will be Vanessa, in Switzerland I will be Sandy, in Croatia I will be Catherine and lastly in Greece I will be Grace. Exhaust washed over me and I head to the bathroom to take a shower and then headed off to bed.
As the days got colder in the Netherlands we went to some thrift stores to buy jackets and proper pants.
"Taylor look at this jacket" Nova pointed out as she ran towards it and tried it on. "Look how cool it is" she twirled around as I got a 360 of the cool patchworks on it. "Can I please get it" she begged. It wasn't a thick jacket at all, more like a spring jacket when the breeze is out and you don't want a thick jacket to sweat through.
"Nova, the jacket isn't thick enough, you will freeze in it" I exclaimed, grabbing the flimsy material.
"Please Taylor, I will wear it everyday and never complain about the cold ever" she begged and gave me her puppy dog eyes. I looked at the price tag and saw it a reasonable price and decided to let her get it. We picked out some other clothing, things that are much more warmer and won't let us get frostbite. Once I paid, we headed out of the store and headed back to the place we are staying and I started on the laundry right away.
Nova and I stayed in the Netherlands for about 2 months where we endured the cold and although Nova promised not a single peep about the cold, that didn't even last a day where the day after we bought the new outfit she complained how cold it was and didn't want to go exploring the city.
We landed in Prague where the weather was in the low 40s and we didn't have to buy new ones. I was able to get a job so we would have more steady income instead of relying on tips whenever I paint in a town square or a random bench in a busy part of the city.
