Below Deck

There are several luxury yachts at the dock, but we are led to the one at the end with a crew of eight waiting for us with glasses of expensive champagne. It feels like I was going on Below Deck and I'm ecstatic. We are all forced to part with our shoes on the dock and I'm irked by Ainslee's footwear actually being a sensible choice. Ainslee and Chase are the first to cross the small bridgeway with Logan and I bringing up the rear. The crew greets us warmly and Tika, in a thick Caribbean accent, tells us where we are allowed to lounge around. The interior is all polished cherry wood with sleek leather furniture. Bright LED lighting is strategically placed under the stairs and overhead, pulling us in all directions. There is a massive wooden oval table to dine around outside the salon and several loungers scattered around the decks. There is enough room for everyone to sprawl out but several areas large enough to mingle together.

Ainslee immediately pulls Chase up to the sun deck for pictures and we all stroll around the massive boat, wondering where to settle in while they pull away from the harbor. I grab Chase and take him through the salon to get to the back of the boat so I can get the coastline behind us.

"I'm rarely this dressed up, so I'd like a photo," I tell him and we land in front of a railing with the perfect view of the harbor behind us. He holds my phone up and I squeeze in next to him- we actually make an adorable couple. He then holds up his phone and takes my chin in his fingers before kissing me. He snaps the most precious kissy photo of us and I am obsessed. I am not sure who I am right now loving kissy photos to post on social media but I want to share my crush with the world.

"Send that to me," I demand and then we watch as the boat moves further away from the dock and pushes into the ocean.

"Do you want more champagne?" He asks once the dock is completely out of view. I nod and we pull away from our little spot away from everyone to make it back inside.

The girls are still taking a bazillion photos and videos of the yacht and the guys are all huddled around the bar chatting with the cute stewards. Chase and Ainslee must still be enjoying some alone time above us.

"Shots," Alex tells us as he waves us over.

"Of what?" I ask before he drops a glass in my hand.

"We are in Mexico, tequila," he hands me lime and we all gather together in a large circle to toast the evening. The two stewards drop snacks around the bar area and the charcuterie boards get demolished within minutes.

"You all seem ready for dinner?" Tika asks us with a light laugh when she clears away the plates and we all nod in agreement. I grab one more glass of champagne before grabbing Logan's hand again.

"Wanna go chill somewhere? I think we have twenty minutes before we get to the beach," I ask and he snags his margarita off the bar top. He leads me up to the sundeck now that Ainslee and Chase have joined the group downstairs and I have to hold my hair in my hand so the wind doesn't make it a tangled mess.

"This really is gorgeous," I admit as we stand against the railing on the highest point of the boat.

"So you don't mind the ocean if you're on a boat?" Logan asks.

"It has to be a big boat. If not this size, then a cruise ship."

"Got it. Our adventures need to be land-based," he notes and I nod against his chest. We stand in silence, just watching the boat slice through the water and I can now see our beach in the distance.

"You mentioned your sister earlier," Logan asks me as I am taking a sip. "Is her name Emma?" I turn my gaze to look at him as my glass hovers next to my lips.

"Yes..."

"I thought so, she followed me on Instagram. Just checking."

I drop my head in my hand, mortified.
