The actions she had committed were improper for her duties and was ushered away by the Lord of the household, the man was furious by her actions and decided to throw her for sale to the next owner of her.

Only thinking about the outcome of said action was much more enjoyable than the punishment. Her new owner could simply be a much worse person than her current master. He committed much worse crimes than herself but was allowed to due to his power in the household.

All she did was help another maiden to escape the house, she was caught and immensely punished by having to be kept in the gaol cells for a number of weeks with her only chores being to make sure the cell was clean and only given bread with water to consume.

Her friend had lived to tell the tale it seemed, never a letter was sent and neither was any acknowlegement of her being missing. Her friend simply left and everyone ignored it due to everyone knowing the punishment of helping othe

Now though, her job was to be sold.

The surrounding area was a market, small tents and stalls were set up and today was the worker's market. Specifically, workers to be sold market. Sellers from all around Romania had ventured to the city of Bistrita for this event and many buyers were scattered through.

Sighing, the sign over her neck was hanging over herself. Her clothes were slightly wet due to the weather rain; many people viewed her, moved her limbs and touched her in various ways before looking at the other servants and maidens beside her.

Her sign said that she was worth 250 RON, certainly a cheaper price than the majority of maids and servants yet not the worst. Pitters of rain claimed the sky, it wasn't annoying anyone so everyone remained in their positions and buyers began inspecting the workers.

Men and women observed her and all were either head servants or the house superiors of their respected ones. Hours went by and she stayed still standing, her limbs aching in soreness and her desperation to simply sit on the dirt below her was getting towards dangerous levels. The rain continued after a number of hours and her uniform was dampening.

Time went on and a matron of some description began to move around her arms, feeling her build and looking at the sign around her neck before ushering the maid's owner for attention. The matron pointed towards her and said a few words towards the seller, she paid for her and she was dragged along.

Various people looked across to see this transaction and some were whispering amongst themselves saying things like 'That poor maid...' 'She won't last another month with that lady' each phrase sounding more terrifying than the last, she did not know what any of these people meant but knew that they were aimed for her.

"Well dear maid, you have been chosen for a reason," the matron began, "the Lady prefers maidens of your body type so pardon for me touching you so thoroughly before"

"It is quite alright, I hardly noticed you being harsh if that was what you were inferring"- the maid was simply numb to the idea of people touching her, it was simply normal and she did not mind it.

The two were walking at a soft pace, headed in a northern direction. Their tone seemed to sound like them being old friends, neither knew the other though.

"Lovely to hear, as you'll hear later on, the Lady prefers things in a specific order in her house and if you do not meet her requirements then she will simply... toss you out to rot." the matron replied, sighing slightly.

"She wouldn't resell me?" the maid questioned, her expression stayed as neutral as one could be but inside her mind, it was a minefield. Who could her new owner be? To what extremes much be the chores and for the punishment to be death it seemed...
