It had been a month since Lady Dimitrescu had promoted Natalia to librarian and throughout the time since, the maid had been happily working rain or shine in the room and seemed to simply be happy spending her time with books so close to hand.
During her breaks and such, she'd usually pick out a book or continue one she had picked out previously to relax with.
To others, it seemed as if she didn't do much throughout the day; her schedule was usually something like this:
Six in the morning- Wake up and get ready to present self before work
Seven in the morning- Go to the library and begin by scanning the bookshelves
Nine in the morning- Help various others with finding particular books as maids and servants were allowed in the library, it was because of Natalia's 'nagging' about feeling bored when there wasn't much work to do.
Twelve- Have a break in the room, go to the kitchen and take her food on a plait before walking back to the library and sitting on a chair near one of the fireplaces before settling down with a book for around forty minutes. After finishing her meal, she'd tidy up, walk back to the kitchen to clean her plait, and then walk back to the library.
One in the afternoon- repeat morning activities
Seven in the evening- double-check everything and head out to the servant's dinner hall for dinner.
That was her typical work day throughout the month and it was a routine the librarian enjoyed. Although, there were small incidents throughout the month involving the three daughters of the house.
Another one was occurring currently involving tea and Natalia's lunch break. Daniela went into the library in search of a book and noticed the librarian walk into the room with a drink. She poked her head closer and saw that Natalia was now sitting on a seat with a teacup in hand.
"I made tea." the librarian commented, noticing the presence in the room,
"I don't want tea." Daniela assumed the tea was for her and tilted her head, sitting on a seat opposite the maid.
"I did not make tea for you. This is my tea." Natalia shrugged,
"Then why are you telling me?"
"It is a conversation starter."
"That's a lousy conversation starter." the redhead huffed out, folding her arms in annoyance
"Oh, is it? We are conversing. Checkmate." the maid giggled slightly, the woman opposite her rolled her eyes and giggled too.
"Got me there, librarian"
"You do recall my name though, right?" Natalia asked, taking a sip from her tea,
"Uh. Of course... Uh... Natasha?"
"Close, Natalia, my lady"
"Right, I got it first try. It's another Nat name thing" Daniela waved her hand slightly, claiming she knew right, "Anyway... I know that you're hair is quite long"
"Hm? I suppose it is..."
"Why don't you ever put it down? It's awfully pretty for a maid like yourself"
"That's against the rules, my lady."
"Oh yeah!" the woman smiled, a face of pure childishness. Natalia knew that Daniela was the youngest and therefore the most childish out of her sisters but she never got to see how the girl acted herself, until now.
"Did you forget, my lady?"
"For a second, but now I remember" she chuckled, "Maid, here please"
Natalia tilted her head briefly but quickly got up and placed her teacup on the table in front of her before walking over to her mistress, "Like this ma'am?"
