Can't take her

Chrysanthemum and Severus felt like they were frozen as everyone else in the room came back to life "Snape!" Ron yelled looking between his sister and his professor. Chrysanthemum looked between, Dumbledor, McGonagall and Hooch each giving her a nod.

Chrysanthemum and Severus look at each other not knowing what to say, either they get married and save Chrysanthemum or they don't and Chrysanthemum gets taken by Fudge and maybe killed

"Albus, we need to talk" Severus pulled Dumbledor over to a corner along with Poppy, McGonagall and Hooch following while Ron and Hermione pulled Chrysanthemum to the other side with Remus, Molly and Arthur following them. "This can't happen" Ron told them as Chrysanthemum leans against the wall

"Well we can't stop it. Marriage is the only way to keep Chrysanthemum safe" Hermione told him

"But he's 36! He's too old for her!"

"He's only 20 years older than me" Chrysanthemum points out, making Ron's shoulders slump. Hermione looks between the two confused "We live a very long time Mione, people getting married to someone older isn't uncommon. It's well respected only if the wizard or witch is in the 20 year range. Sometimes 21-22, Snape fits that since he's only 20 years older than me"

"How do you know so much?" Chrysanthemum shrugged "I'm going to be Lady Potter, I need to know how to act" Hermione nods before her and the others go back to talking, Chrysanthemum only half listening as she and Severus make eye contact, his black eyes boring into her green. Chrysanthemum looks down, breaking the contact.

Severus looks back at his co-workers "I know this isn't something you thought about, but it's getting too dangerous for you out there. Look what happened last year, if Voldemort hadn't sent you out for a mission, you could have been in that crowd" Albus tells the potion master

The three ladies nod their heads in agreement, they know he's a spy but it's getting dangerous for him to continue sooner or later he'll end up dead. Severus takes one more look at Chrysanthemum seeing her exhausted face but still standing strong, he knows he has to do this. He has to help her, after years of thinking she was like her father when she was really her own person

"I will do it, only if Chrysanthemum agrees. I won't force her into anything else after what she's been through" Albus nods in agreement.

The five of them walk over to where the others were waiting "Chrysanthemum" Chrysanthemum pushed off the wall staring at her teachers and her possible husband "Severus has agreed to marry you but only if you are 100% this is what you want to do"

Chrysanthemum looks at Severus, this is in her hands now. She can agree to marry the professor who has shown time and time again that he hates her or she can go with Fudge and die in less then a week

"I'm sure," Chrysanthemum said softly. Some had a hard time hearing her but she only looked at Severus who had... relief in his eyes. He was relieved she said yes, he failed her many times, he won't make the same mistake again.

McGonagall walked out the room for a minute before her and Percy walked back in "Percy we'll be needing your help with the document"

"Document?" He looked between everyone confused why his brother looked like Chrysanthemum was going to die. Hermione looked at her friend sadly while Remus had a hand on her good shoulder

"Chrysanthemum and Severus are getting married" Molly informed her son. Percy looked between the two people claimed to be getting married, both nodding at him letting him know it's true

"Can you get the papers filed tonight, Percy?" Chrysanthemum asked

Percy looked at the one person who stuck with him even after he turned his back on his family last year. The girl who owl him everyday to tell him how his family was doing even when her and Ron was fighting
