Chrysanthemum woke up in a cold sweat. Another nightmare but this time it was different. She was in a field with roses covered in blood, in front of her was her friends and Severus dead on the floor their eyes open but no life in them, Voldemort stood in front of their dead bodies smiling at her, he was going to attack her when she woke up

Grabbing her wand she casts a tempus 5:23 AM. Sighing she got out of bed and went to get a glass of water. Being as quiet as possible she grabbing a glass and poured some water from the refilling pitcher

Severus turned over slinging his arm over his wife when he felt her side of the bed was empty and cold. Opening his eyes he couldn't see his wife anywhere when he saw light coming from under the door way, getting out of bed he grabbed his wand and slowly made his way out of the room

Looking around he pauses when he sees Chrysanthemum sitting in the arm chair reading a book with a glass of water on the side table and the fireplace on "Dear?" he asked setting his wand on the table. Chrysanthemum jumped not hearing him come in but relaxed seeing who it was "Severus? What are you doing up?" she asked marking her spot in her book

"Woke up and you weren't there, needed to make sure you were okay" Chrysanthemum frowned casting a tempus 6:20, her eyes widen "Sorry, I only meant to be out for a few minutes" Severus walked over sitting on the arm of the chair "What's wrong? Why are you up so early?"

"I uh I" She suddenly found the floor interesting. Severus looked at Chrysanthemum in worry, he noticed that her water was cloudy meaning she mixed something in it, most likely a calming drought "You had a nightmare, didn't you?" he realized looking back at his wife who tensed but slowly nodded her head "Do you want to talk about it?" Chrysanthemum shook her head as her hands started shaking the calming drought starting to ware off

"It's okay. Breath, your alright" Severus took her hands in his adding enough pressure to keep her calm "It's alright, look at me. Look at me" Chrysanthemum looked up, green eyes locking onto black "It's okay, just breath. You don't have to tell me anything" Severus mimicked deep breathing which she followed. After 5 minutes her breathing was back under control, and her hands stopped shaking

Chrysanthemum leaned into her husband touch her eyes lids becoming heavier "Sleep, I got you" was the last thing she heard before closing her eyes

Severus looked down at his sleeping wife before carefully picked her up and moving her to the bedroom, tucking her in before heading to the library. Quickly writing a note to Dumbledore that Chrysanthemum wouldn't be able to attend classes today, he called from his elf

"Missy"

Pop "Yes Master Prince"

"Bring this note to the headmaster. Don't wait for a response"

"Yes Master Prince" Missy grabs the note before leaving. Severus sighed before getting dressed in his teaching robes, looking down at his wife he smiled kissing her head and writing her a little note before leaving for breakfast in the hall since he didn't want the noise to wake her

Entering the hall, many kids head turned to him shocked to see him there, ever since the marriage started both him and Chrysanthemum ate breakfast in their quarters thanks to his wife always making breakfast on the weekdays and him making breakfast on the weekends. Sitting next to Minerva he grabbed his usually

"Is everything alright?" Minerva asked looking at her friend along with Hooch in worry seeing him here and not with Chrysanthemum "You're usually not here for breakfast"

"Everything is fine"

"Where is Chrysanthemum?"

Severus looked around before lowering his voice not wanting everyone to know his wife business. From what he's gathered by being with her, she hates her fame and does everything in her power not to end up in the spot light, not that it works but she does tries "She had a nightmare last night, from what I can tell she's been up since 5"

Minerva and Hooch eyes went wide, with everything that's happened they didn't stop to think that Chrysanthemum could have nightmares "Oh door, I didn't even think she would have" Hooch said disappointed in herself, after everything that young woman has been through of course she would have them

"How is she?"

"Sleeping." he buttered his scones "I calmed her down after 5 minutes and she fell asleep, I figured she could use it since she hasn't been sleeping well these past few days"

The woman nodded in agreement, they noticed Chrysanthemum spaced out more and looked more tired but didn't say anything, which made them feel even guiltier

Chrysanthemum woke up too hooting, looking around she noticed she was alone in bed, grabbing her wand she cast a tempus 2:30 PM, shooting up in bed she stared at the time shocked "What! I can't believe I over slept" she threw the covers off and was about to rush to get dressed when she saw a note on her bedside table. Taking it she sees it's from Severus

You fell asleep once you calmed down. I sent a note to the headmaster letting him know you won't be able to attend classes, take this time to calm down and dance, I will get your work from your teachers after. Feel better- Severus

Chrysanthemum smiled setting the note in her nightstand before heading to the bathroom wanting to take a quick shower and change into something comfortable. Now dressed in a light red skirt that stops at her knees and a white bell sleeve top she stepped out of the bedroom, her hair down in a slick back ponytail which was braided and twisted into a bun

"Hi Hedwig" she cooed seeing her snowy owl on the preach in the living room before noticing the four letters "Good girl" she grabbed some owl treats she kept on top of the fireplace and gave her some before sitting on the sofa and picked up the first letter which was from Sirius and Remus

Hi Flower (Remus, Sirius)

How are you feeling? We saw the news papers, sorry that they got that picture of you and Severus but we hope your doing well. Sirius is going crazy being stuck in the house with his mother painting screaming ever 10 minutes, I think he's going to set the painting on fire. I am if she keeps screaming. Anyways I saw you took the Black heirship, I'm so proud of you and I can't wait to see what you're going to do now, Severus better be treating you right! Write when you get the chance

Love Padfoot and Moony

Chrysanthemum smiled setting the letter aside before grabbing the next one which is from Bella

Hey Chris!

I got your letter and I'm sorry that happened, I swear I was just trying to help I didn't think he would try to adopt you if I did I would have never given him the letters and photos. You might have heard or not but you aunt and uncle got arrested and your cousin is going to boot camp. They have enough evidence to put them away for life, someone named Amelia Bones sent the muggle police everything they had a week ago! But onto lighter topics I'm going to visit Hogsmeade this weekend so I can see you! Write be back and let me know if your cool with that

Love your big sister Bella

"Yes!" she cheered, while she was a little mad at Bella she understood she only wanted her safe and she was glad her big sister could visit her as she missed seeing her everyday. Setting Bella with Padfoot and Moony letter she grabbed third letter seeing it was from Mr. and Mrs. Weasley

Hello Chrysanthemum dear

We're just writing to check in on you. How is Severus treating you? I hope you're eating enough and sleeping enough. I can't wait for you and the others to visit for Christmas, I'm hoping Severus will join us this year since he is your husband of course he doesn't have too if he isn't comfortable but I hope to see you both there

Love Molly and Author Weasley

Chrysanthemum smiled softly at the letter, she would have to talk about Christmas with Severus seeing it's around that time they need too... she blushed and quickly picked up the next letter before pausing when she noticed it was from Severus family "I shouldn't" she put the letter down wanting to wait for Severus. It was his family after all

Deciding to wait for him, she picked up the three letters leaving the other one of the table and moved to the library to write back to her family
