What do you mean?

The couple spent the rest of the afternoon in Paris shopping at Severus' favorite stores. Even though Chrysanthemum argued with her husband about him paying for everything he still did

He bought her many robes from different places. Every day robes, work robes, ministry robes, party robes. He also bought her different outfits, some jeans and shirts but many skirts and dresses not that she minded as she always loved dresses

Now the two were back at Hogwarts having dinner in their quarters, Severus had Missy bring them stake and mash potatoes, water for Chrysanthemum and fire whiskey for Severus "Thank you for everything today" Chrysanthemum broke the silence, Severus looked at his wife seeing her small smile made his heart skip a beat

"It was no problem. Eliza seemed to love you" Eliza was the one who took her measurements and helped her pick out her outfits, though the woman was horrified and worried about the amount of scars over her back and stomach. Even if her magic healed her bones it doesn't heal the scars

After dinner was done Chris headed to the bathroom wanting to wash up and get into her PJ's, today has been such a hard day all she wanted to do was sleep. Exiting the bathroom Chris sees Severus already changed and waiting for her on the bed

"I know we have some things to discuss" Chrysanthemum said before he could start "And I want to start first. Is that okay?" Severus nods leaning against the headboard "The eye of Odin it was and wasn't destroyed" Chris looks down at her hands "The stone was destroyed when I released my magic that killed everyone"

"You did that?" Severus interrupted, Chris looks up and nods to him "Everyone thought it was the stone power being transferred from the dark lord to you that caused the shock wave"

"No it wasn't the stone it was my own magic connecting. You know the tale of the eye of Odin, how only one can wield it's full magic"

"Yes everyone knows the story but most think it's fake and since they never found the stone most think it will never happen"

"Well it's not fake" Severus sits up straighter "The stone was destroyed but not its magic. It binded it mines" Chris pulls down her shirt stopping at her heart. An emerald green swirl just like the color of her own when not glowing was around her heart, in the middle was the eye of Odin "My magic, plus the magic of being the Queen, plus the eye of Odin and being the Mistress of Death and Life... It makes me pretty powerful"

Severus was silent as he thought about what happened the past few days, it's starting to make sense. The glowing eyes, the extra power to stop the dark mark from hunting him, the change in her magical signature. It all makes since

"Severus?" he blinked looking at his wife. Chris was looking at him worried, swimming in her eyes, he realized she was waiting for him to say something. Instead of saying anything he grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him, wrapping his arms around her waist he held her tightly "It's okay" he muttered

Chrysanthemum took a deep breath smelling roses and books on him, making her erratic heart slow down. Soon she pulled away even though she already missed his warmth she needed to know what it meant that they had fulfill their bond in three months

"We still have one more thing to talk about" Chris reminded him, even though she wanted nothing more than to be back in his arms, she needs to know about this more than anything "It appears the bonding Albus did that day wasn't as temporary as we believed" Severus sighed "There are two bonding's that can happen. The temporary one that allows you to end the marriage if you so wish and the permanent one, where your married until you die"

Chrysanthemum nods already knowing that, she did need to research bonding's to be able to get her lady Potter ring "What some people don't know is that the bonding's are very similar the only thing different is the last sentence that some mess up" Chrysanthemum takes a sharp inhale of breath, she has a feeling she knows where this is going "What do you mean?" 

Severus looked at his wife with a frown not knowing how she's taking this. He has a feeling she already knows what he's going to say next

"It seems Albus miss spoke the last line. Instead of our marriage being a temporary binding like it was meant to be, it is now a permanent one." Chris becomes pale, she has never thought this marriage would be anything permanent, anything more than protection for her "We have three months to fulfill our marriage which means we must have... sex before the three months are up"

"And if we don't?" Chris asked her voice horse to even her ears

"The magic would push us until we do"

"I-I never... I've never been in a relationship before" Chris told him, making him look at her shocked. "Everyone who wanted me like that was only after me because of my title, hell even most of my friends now only became my friends in the first place because of who I was. I know they're good friends now and will protect me but they all wanted what I could give them"

Chris shrugged "I think the only ones who didn't become my friend because of who I was, was Neville and that's because he's my god brother and Bella because she didn't know anything about the UK when all I had was that one title" Chris sighs playing her fingers "No one ever wants to get to know the real me in the first place" she whispered

Severus stared at his wife with a look, he never thought of her friends only being her friends because of her name. He always thought Weasley and Granger were her friends because they loved her not because her name was Potter. Seeing her sadden face, Severus brought her close to him allowing her to lean against his chest

"Listen to me, Chrysanthemum" he tilted her head up "I made a lot of mistakes in the pass and one who letting you believe I hated you"

"What? What do you mean? I don't understand"

"The reason I stayed away from you was because every time I look at you I see your parents. I loved your mother like she was my sister and your father made up for what he did to me in school. I acted like I hated you because something was pulling me to you, I didn't want you to be forced into anything" Severus told his wife honestly

Chrysanthemum looked into her husband's eyes seeing he was telling the truth "I've liked you since 3rd year when you saved us" Chrysanthemum admitted. If that shocked Severus he didn't show it but a smile tugged on his lips "I'm tired" she muttered leaning against Severus

"Come on" Severus lifted her into her arms making her squeak in surprise and wrapped her arms around his neck. Severus smirked down at his wife before pulling down the blanket and laying Chris down on her side, he tucks her in before moving towards his side of the bed.

Chrysanthemum was already asleep before he even got in
