The walk down to the dungeons was quiet. The only thing that could be heard is Chrysanthemum sniffling
Severus stays silent as he holds Chrysanthemum up, arm around her waist "The password is Moonshine" he said for both the painting and Chrysanthemum benefit
The painting swung open and Severus helped Chrysanthemum in, sitting her on the sofa next to her trunk "Alright Chrysanthemum, Poppy gave me a list of potions you need to take, so wait right here and I'll get them for you" Chris only nodded and tucked in on herself as he left to his private potions lab
Chris took this time to look around, she could see the small kitchen behind her with a fridge and stove. The living room was big, with a sofa, two arm chairs, a coffee table and a bookshelf. Down the hall she can see three doors, one that led to Severus potion lab and she guessed one would lead to his bedroom and the other to another room. Maybe a office or library
The color scheme was actually really pretty. Dark blue with hints of white and green, the fireplace across from her gave off enough heat, that she wasn't shivering anymore. As Chris was looking around she didn't see Severus walk back in
He stopped and stared at the young woman, who held her wrist tightly to her chest. He looked over her, noticing things he never has before. How her auburn hair looked red in light and her olive skin went perfect with her green eyes. How they looked like emeralds but when they glowed it looked like the killing curse green
He notices how he has never seen her hair down, unlike most witches even many pure blood witches do not keep their hair up. He can name the number of witches who wore their hair up everyday on one hand but from the first day she got to Hogwarts six years ago she has never let her hair down
"Chrysanthemum"
She quickly turns around wand in hand pointing straight at him, he can see the fear in her eyes that instantly fades seeing him "Professor, sorry" Chris apologized twisting her right wrist her wand sliding back into her wand holster "It's okay, I should have warned you I was here"
Severus sets 4 potions down in front of her "These are a nutrition potion, a growth potion, a pain relief potion and a bone strengthener potion. The last one you will take after Friday afternoon for three days after poppy re-breaks your bones" The potion colors were green, dark blue, red and white. Chrysanthemum eyed the bone strengthening potion, she knows she has to use it but she doesn't want to have her bone broken. The first time was bad enoughSeverus must have seen the wary look in her eyes because he removed it almost at once "Are there any potions you think you will need?" Chris looked at him hesitantly. She knows she will need a core stabilizer if she wants to do magic the next two days but she doesn't want to ask him. Almost like reading her thoughts Severus sends her a soft smile something that surprises her
"It's all right, Chrysanthemum. You can ask"
"Do you have any core stabilizer potions?" Chris' voice was soft and small as she folds in on herself once again, if Severus was shocked he didn't show it "Yes, but may I ask why you need it?" Chris shifts looking at her hands
"After the hit I took last year my magic did everything it could to keep me alive, almost draining my core. It's been resting all summer but it still isn't stable enough to do magic, I can cast but I don't have control with how much magic I put behind my spell"
"Can you show me?" Chris looked at her husband a little wary but flicked her wrist letting her wand fall into her hand "lumos" Chrysanthemum picks a safe spell but the light shines brighter than intended making them cover their eyes "Nox!" Chris hurries, canceling the spell throwing her wand on the table in front of her. Once Severus got his vision back he saw Chrysanthemum draw her knees to her chest and tuck her face in her knees
