Chrysanthemum woke slowly feeling the familiar body weight at her back "Severus?" She turned around to face him "Good Morning my queen" Severus whispered giving his wife a chaste kiss

Chrysanthemum smiled cuddling closer to Severus "Thank you" Chris muttered. Severus gave his wife a confused look "For what?"

"For coming to me when I needed you last night" Severus tightens his hold on his wife remembering what she saw in that nightmare "I will always come to you, understand me? I will run to you and if I can not run, I will crawl to you" Severus said passionately

Blinking back tears, Chris kisses her husband again before laying back down "What's on today's agenda?" She asked. Severus wrapped his arm around her waist "We're going to spend the day here. Poppy wants you to rest more and I want you to heal"

Chrysanthemum hummed snuggling more into her husband "Can we have breakfast in bed today?" Chris asked. Severus nodded and silently called Dobby, he was in no mood to cook today

"Dobby would please get something light for breakfast today. We will be having it in bed this morning" Severus ordered the elf

"Oh yes. Dobby will be doing that" Dobby nodded, making Chrysanthemum smile. She really needed to teach Dobby proper grammar "Thank you Dobby" Chris muttered

Dobby nodded and popped out. Severus looked down at his wife "I know your friends are anxious to see you again. Do you think you'd be able to handle seeing them?" Chris thought for a moment before shrugging "Hermione, Ron and Bella please..." Chrysanthemum hesitated for a moment before looking up at Severus "after they leave maybe Draco could join us"

Severus stopped moving completely, making Chrysanthemum tense, wondering if she shouldn't have said anything. "Never mind" Chris quickly said not wanting to upset her husband

"What-" Severus started until Chris tried to get out of bed "Wait" Severus wrapped his arms around Chrysanthemum's waist and pulled her back. Chris gasped when her back hit the bed

Severus leaned over his wife, boxing her in "I didn't mean to freeze like that. I just didn't think you and Draco were friends" Severus informed Chris, he didn't want her feeling like she needed to hide facts about herself about him

Chrysanthemum needed to know she didn't need to hide her friendships from him. She didn't need to hide things she loves, or people she hangs out with, she never needed to think hiding things was better than lying to him. Severus would never hold it against her for doing things or having things that he didn't know

Chris took a deep breath, calming her heart as it felt like it was beating out of her chest "We became friends during our 3rd year. He uh... he found me crying in an unused classroom" Chris started to tell him to relax in his hold when he didn't react violently "I was stressed because of Sirius back then, and everyone watching me and following me wherever I went. As more people started following me, I felt like I was drowning. I just needed to get away.

I found a classroom nobody used and was there for...I like 5 hours-"

"Was this the day you missed all your classes and almost sent the castle into lockdown?" Severus asked huffing to push a string of hair away from his face. Chris nodded, laughing a little as she grabbed the hair tie from her wrist and pulled Severus' hair back while she continued talking "Yeah, I was just so overwhelmed that, at the time, I didn't care what happened. I just wanted a moment to breath" Chris continued as she tired his hair into a low bun

Severus smiled at the movement, lowering himself so his lower body laid on Chrysanthemums and his forearms on the bed so he was more comfortable

"How does Draco fit in there?"

"I don't know why he was there to be honest. I only know that he usually goes there when he needs a moment alone. When he first found me, he started picking on me but once he saw my tears, I don't know, I guess he felt sorry for me. He just sat down next to me, not saying anything, letting me cry. Once I stopped he just handed me a handkerchief, then left

After that, whenever I needed a moment alone, I would go there and he would show up a few minutes later. It was after the fourth time it happened did we actually talk. It started about random facts, then about how the magical world was different from the muggle world, then the rules for a Lady and Lord. Somewhere along the way, we just... click"

Chrysanthemum shrugged. To be honest, Draco was honestly the only reason she survived third year. Hermione and Ron were there of course but the two were also frightened about what could happen to them, and seeing this Chris pushed them away a little

Draco had been her life line that year. He wouldn't let her push him away, no matter how much she tried, sat and held her as she cried. Cried out of fear. Out of frustration. Out of anger. Out of exhaustion. He was there when he didn't need to be

And she was there for him. When things at home got too much. When the snakes were pushing him a little too hard to become the perfect prince for Slytherin. When Draco himself pushed himself too hard studying or training, she was there to hold him. To let him rant too.

"Draco was my life line. I didn't know how close I had gotten to that edge until Draco pulled me back." Severus frowned at the words used, what edge? "And as more days passed, our friendship grew. We're there for each other, even with everything going on know"

Severus smiled. While he didn't know his god son had been friends with his wife, he's glad. He can tell that Chrysanthemum was struggling back then, but he didn't think anything of it, assuming Minerva would have helped her. He thought she had since Chrysanthemum started to look better but now he knows it was because of his god son

"Of course Draco can come over after your friends leave. Anything for you" Severus finally answered his wife's first question. Chris smiled up at him so brightly, it felt like his heart was going to beat out of his chest "Thank you" she whispered

Severus shook his head "Never thank me for making you happy" He whispered back. Chrysanthemum leaned up and kissed him gently, Severus sighed kissing back allowing himself to fall into the warmth that is his wife
