2 Weeks Later

"Thank God" I hiss my teeth loudly as I  throw my handbag and laptop on the back seat waiting for my work bestie to enter the car. I replace my ankle strap heels with a crocs before throwing my jacket on the backseat as well.

Right ya now in a this ya car look like junk yard, nuh too surprise still. Affi go ask Daddy fi carry it go car wash later or tomorrow. Thank God I'm a Daddy's girl cause I don't know what I would do without this man.

"Merciful savior Kaylee, you couldn't wait likkle bit before you start strip," I look over at Naomi as she struggles to remove the jacket from over her dress.

"Look like u nuh feel the sun heat?" Lately its like whatever God is baking up there requires more heat than normal temperature. She burst out laughing showing her perfectly white teeth, most times I tend to question if she's wearing veneers. She then attempts to catch her hair in a bun I'm assuming to cool down her body faster, after walking in the sun without an umbrella to get to the car park.

"Affi tell fada fi plug out the sun?" Wah this ya slang mean now, everyday is something new and I'm the dumb one who takes forever to understand them.

"Girl right ya now to how them pickney ya stress mi out all year, I deserve a trip off the island, paired with a hot girl summer" I mean I love my students but teaching teenagers is not for the weak especially as a literature teacher.

"Hot girl summer me please. Thank God I don't have a man fi follow back a mi or tell mi wah fi do" A message pops up on her phone she starts to blush before putting the phone in her bag.

But look at who nuh have nuh man, cause mi dumb and stupid.

"So after man can't stop mi from having hot girl summer" I giggle as I fasten my seat belt and get ready to leave the school compound.

"Big Buddy Crawford can though" What a way you know say Crawford buddy long, but I doubt he'll even remember if I say I'm going out, unless I mention a male company.

"Chro right ya now him a the least a my problem, him can do what him want and I'll do the same" Honestly he's stressing me out more than how the sun is.

"A wah happen ya now, that nuh sound too good eno babes" I take a side glimpse at her to see  her digging through her bag searching for God knows what. Naomi personality is way different from mind but we get along very well. Imagine having a friend that you've never had a friendship breakup or argument since the day you met. She's a people person I mean the students voted het teacher of the year thrice in a row, the board then made a rule that whoever won the year before wont be apart of the current year nominees.

"Nothing nuh really happen eno, mi just reach a point where mi feel like mi a force water up hill" And that's the honest truth, no edit, just one draft.

"Well, all I know and can say is a relationship comes with ups and downs but if the downs are more than the ups, its time to leave baby. Nuh mek sense you stay and nuh happy. After all your man should be your perfect escape from reality and if he's not pack up him baxide dash wah" Honestly work and my friends are the only escape I have from thinking about this relationship. To think that a few months ago I was so happy and in love, its hard to believe that I'm seeking a way out of this relationship.

A must the ring to pussyclaat.

"But its the fact that we are engage, I don't want to be the bad guy, you know, like to just get up and leave. Furthermore it's the only actual relationship I've been in so I don't know how to start over"

So babes you eat bread and them thing dah, kakafart ole. Murda can't bother with that again eno.

"Sometimes we affi be the villain eno mumz, but it nuh mek sense you nah get the energy and treatment you deserve cause a next man will just come and give you everything you want and then boom, you cheat. That dah time ya go be the real villain"
