5 months - August 2005

Filming for the second movie was coming to an end in a couple weeks which meant Johnny would be coming home way sooner rather than on the very last day of filming. After we got back from New York three months ago, he immediately had to go back. It was such a great week for us and the magazine. The bump has definitely made it's appearance. I decided to take a short leave from work and postpone the job offer, which thankfully corporate was understandable of and told me I had a secure spot when I return.

Things were really good. Without a doubt I was sad and missing Johnny everyday. There's only so much serotonin a phone call from him can give me everyday.

"Sounds like everything is coming to a close. Do you know specifically what day you'll be home?" I asked him.

"It's looking like Friday is when I'll be back."

"Well, I think we can manage a couple more days, I mean. We made it through three months, right?" He chuckled lightly and sighed.

"Maybe you can, but I can't. I miss my wife and my baby girl, which I am very jealous you get to feel her move around."

"Well, when you get home I bet she'll be so excited that she'll just jump for joy in there and you can feel her mighty power then."

"You've got yourself a deal. Listen, they're calling us back on set, so I will talk to you later, but I love you, baby."

"Love you more, captain. Be safe." We hung up and I set my phone aside. That how the calls usual go. Not that it's a bad thing. It's just better when he's home and he's not in a rush to talk.

Friday Morning

Johnny comes home in about an hour. I spent the majority of the morning cleaning the house and getting myself ready which now just consisted of throwing my hair in a messy bun and wearing his bigger shirts and nothing else. It was a hell of a lot more comfortable than pants. After finishing up, I made my way back to the couch and turned the TV on, engulfing myself in a blanket and eagerly waiting for Johnny to walk in the door.

"Oh, my god. There she is. Gorgeous as ever." Johnny yelled as he swung the door open and tossed his bags to the floor. I smiled big and jumped off the couch, running over to him and and surrendering myself in his arms. Without hesitation, our lips clashed into one.

"God, I've missed you. " He whispered as he buried his head in my neck.

"I've missed you more." He scooped his arms under me and picked me up by my thighs, walking us over to the couch and laying me down as he hovering over me, continuing the kisses for bit longer before he released. He lifted my shirt and planted kisses on my belly, caressing it gently.

"Someone decided to grow a little while I was gone, huh?" He kept his hand on my belly and tried to wait for a little kick. Right on cue, our little girl made herself known and Johnny looked up at me with the biggest grin on his face.

"She likes your voice. This is the most she's moved today." He chuckled and began to hum a song as she moved around more to make sure we knew she was there. I put my hand on the back of his head and gently played with his hair, just soaking up this moment and enjoying every bit of it. I'm so in love with this man and this little life of ours. I couldn't ask for more.

Next Day

I let Johnny sleep in because I know he was long overdue for it. I went ahead and started breakfast even though the majority of what I was making made me sick all thanks to pregnancy. But I powered through and made all of his favorites.

"Well, look who it is." I spoke up as Johnny walked down the stairs with his hair a mess, his glasses on, and his sweatpants riding a bit low on his hips. If I wasn't already pregnant, I sure as shit would be this morning.
