"Do you really think I can do this?" You looked at Yoongi once he was seated beside you, as thrilling as the idea was, you were undeniably nervous of crashing your new baby. Or worse.

"I wouldn't bring you here to do this if I didn't think you could handle it. If you don't trust yourself, trust me," he told you sincerely, hand on top of yours on the gearstick.

"Okay, yeah," you nodded while exhaling deeply. "I trust you," you confirmed and he let you go so you could pull off.

Further at the end of the dock was another gathering of people. This was where the DJ and betting booths were set up, and as soon as you drew near you could see Rosé spot you from the elevated DJ platform. She hopped down after passing the mic back, so you slowed beside her, window rolling down so she could lean in.

"Glad to see you haven't run away yet," she chuckled. "Bets are coming in hot, everyone's eager to put their money on Agust D's girlfriend," at that, Yoongi placed his hand proudly on your knee, praising you silently.

"I bet they are," he answered pleasantly.

"Who am I racing?" You quirked a brow, keen to change the subject, and Rosé stood to look over your car.

"Right there, Yellow Ferrari. He goes by G Dragon," you traced her view through the windscreen, where up ahead that exact vehicle sat with a man leaning on it smoking a cigarette.

"Any good?" You looked back at her as she braced her hands on the window frame.

"Not against your man but head over to that line, my girl will check your ride over and make sure it's legal," she tapped the car to send you on your way, and with a nod you drove up alongside the Yellow Ferrari you'd be racing.

"You're doing great baby," Yoongi encouraged when you took out your keys and took a deep breath to instill some confidence in yourself.

"Thank you," you breathed back out, and he smiled as he opened his door.

"Stay there," he instructed before ducking out and rounding the vehicle so he could open the door for you. With your hand in his, you swung your legs out and welcomed the warm night air.

"When I heard Agust D had made his grand return I never thought it'd be with a beauty like you on his arm. Red, is it? It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm G Dragon," your opponent rounded his vehicle to greet you instantly.

His dark hair shaved on the sides and slicked back showed off his facial tattoos, but his kind smile and friendly outstretched hand told you not to judge a book by its cover.

"Yeah, Red," you nodded in confirmation with a small smile as you shook his hand. "Long time rivals?" You asked lightly, glancing from him to Agust D.

You wondered what the name meant, how he'd come up with it.

"Ten years ago this guy appears out of no where, steals my crown and then drives off without even celebrating his victory," he chuckled warmly around his cigarette before tapping the dead ash off onto the tarmac. "Few of us were sure he was a figment of our collective imagination until he came back with his friend. How is J-Hope?"

"He's been busy with work, he wasn't happy I was coming here without him but this is a special trip for Red, she's been working hard too," hearing him speak about you so openly, like he was around friends he felt comfortable with, made your heart race.

Proudly putting you on a pedestal to show you off. He even slid his arm comfortably around your waist while he briefly shared a look with you.

"Well you've certainly brought your girl to the right place, all work and no play is boring," he accepted, dropping his butt to the ground before stomping it out under his boot. "I look forward to seeing what you've got, Red," he saluted you as he backed off to his own entourage.

"He seemed nice," you commented immediately.

"Everyone's pretty chill here, it may be a race but they know it's just for fun," he nodded lightly, motioning for you to look off to your left where a tall woman approached. "I'll be back in a minute, stay right here," he winked while playfully patting your ass; just in time for the tall, pretty woman to stop beside you.

She was wearing the same black and pink jumpsuit as Rosé so she must've been the girlfriend you were expecting.

"Hey there, you must be Red," she grinned. "I'm Lisa, I'll be checking over your car. Just making sure it's all good to go, you ever raced before?"

"Never," you shook your head, stepping along side her as you popped the rear engine for her to take a look.

"Little tip if you're going up against G Dragon, don't be afraid to cut in close on the corners. His car's new so he won't risk wrecking it," she informed while leaning in to inspect the innards.

"So is mine," you mentioned with a half-chuckle.

"You came here with Agust D, right? I'm sure he can fix a few scratches," she chuckled as she leaned away.

Speaking of which, where was he?

You looked around discreetly, not finding him anywhere in the crowd. "So what's the deal between you? Dating?"

"It's complicated," you looked back over, while she came round to check the wheels.

"Didn't look it," she hummed knowingly.

"What about the track?" You changed the subject, hoping to make conversation on a topic you were a bit more comfortable with.

"Super easy, just loop the whole industrial. Under those cranes, take a left and head straight out the docks. The streets are pretty easy, they're all one way so just follow the street signs. Once you clear the warehouses, it's just another left back to the docks and you know the rest."

"Shit that's a long track," you puffed out your cheeks.

"And I know them like the back of my hand, you have nothing to worry about," Yoongi flawlessly jumped into the conversation and you automatically turned in his direction, both relieved and relaxed in his presence.

"Exactly, just watch out for the cops. One patrol in the area, we try to time it right but it's never guaranteed," Lisa dusted her hands off and you looked worriedly up at Yoongi.

"It's fine," he brushed it off with a dismissive shake of his head.

If he was sure.

"Two minutes," Rosé's voice prevaled over the speakers, and you swallowed thickly.

"You're all set," Lisa dusted off her hands and you nodded with a tight lipped smile.

"Thanks," you pursed your lips, sneaking a glance at your company.

"Ready to show him what you've got?" He asked, and willfully, you nodded again.

"I'm ready to try," you looked down to the keys in your hand, gently tossing them in your palm.

"That's more like it. And to sweeten the pot, if you win, I'll buy you anything you want on Saturday," he grinned, turning his soft eyes to crescents.

"Should I even ask what Saturday is?" You chuckled.

"Top secret," he winked, placing his hands on your waist to turn you around and towards the door. "But you gotta earn it," he encouraged as he urged you a step forward.
