"Racer's rev your engines!" Rosé shouted over the pin-drop silence, and with your heart racing just as you would be in a moment, you let your ride roar in time with your opponent.

His was a deep, long rumble while you hyped yourself up with one short and one long burst. Something akin to a jaguar call. Afterwards, the crowd cheered like a tribe ready for war, whistling and clapping to drum up excitement.

"You heard 'em, they want a good race! So ready, set—" as each of her flags raised you adjusted your grip; foot hovering over the accelerator. "Go!"

When Rosé swung down her black and pink checkered flags, you and your Yellow adversary both screeched off with matching smoke and rubber burning behind you. You hadn't thought much about your approach but for the first straightaway you were trying to gain as much speed as possible.

In the side mirror, you saw the crowd almost instantly become specs in the distance while checking for the Dragon catching up on your left side. On these wider roads, fit for the biggest industrial trucks, the upcoming corner comfortably fit you both and you missed your first opportunity to cut him off on the inner corner.

"Damn it," you hissed, creasing your brow as you straightened the wheel for the approaching cranes.

"You're fine, you've got plenty of time," Yoongi soothed from beside you, and you subconsciously let out your breath. "Stick to the right," he then instructed, and you took the advice.

Beating G Dragon to the huge, two-legged cranes, you swerved underneath them. Threading the needle gave you a certain sense of satisfaction that made you push down further on the accelerator to get that last edge, while he had to add crucial milliseconds to his time by straightening back up for the curve in the road ahead.

"Check your speed— you don't want to drift on the turn," again, Yoongi's advice was imperative to your success, and safety. You released the accelerator and allowed yourself to smoothly take the curve from the inner side to the outer.

"Thanks," you mumbled distractedly, narrowing your eyes at the rear view mirror when over the ramp came the headlights of the car in second place.

He was quickly gaining speed on the third straightaway, a large four-lane overpass that would eventually hit the freeway. By the time you spotted the sign directing you back down a ramp to the industrial area, he had snuck up on your passenger side; engine roaring and his exhaust spitting fire as he cut sharply in front.

Oh fuck no.

You chased him around the coiled road, brows knit tight while switching gears and pumping the breaks to correct your slight oversteering. Under the bridge, you caught up with him just in time for the two-story warehouses to shadow your illegal activities.

You were neck-in-neck, pumping the accelerator periodically while you kept your eyes sharp for the signs.

"One way streets baby," Yoongi reminded needlessly and you smirked at the road illuminated by all four headlights.

"I got it," you assured and over the hum of your engine you thought you heard him chortle.

"Of course you do, you're a natural," he relented as you found your first sign.

Turn right.

The odds were in your favor, but with G Dragon so close to your side you didn't want to cut your speed, so you pressed down harder; urging him further and further to the back of the line.

Then you made a sharp turn, pulling the wheel back so you could take up as much of the road as possible. You grinned when you checked your mirrors again to see him stuck behind you on the single lane. After a mile, you found your next turn at a dead end: another right.
