~•Emily POV•~
"You have only one day to work on a fashion piece that must be of your own design. In ten hours, your finished presentation will be judged by no other than the great fashion designer Gabriel Agreste, the father of our very own student Adrien. In fact, Adrien will model the winning design in his next photo shoot.."

I zone out of the conversation and focus on my blue haired friend, who wore a giddy expression at the news. I smile at her before focusing on the pigeon's that flew past the window. 'Isn't today the Mr Pigeon episode?'

"And now, this year's theme: derby hats!" The principal cheers.

"Derby hats?" Marinette groans, leaning against my shoulder before glaring at Chloe with a frown as the girl gave her an thumbs down with a smirk. 'Children, the lot of them.' I can't help but sigh at the pettiness of this rivalry.

"Any questions?"

The class dragged on as multiple of my classmates asked questions regarding the competition.

I rest my head against my arms as I glare at the back of Adrien's head. 'Boy, does this boy hold a grudge!' I hold back a groan from annoyance at the situation, 'He still hasn't forgiven me for the Timebreaker incident!'

"Aw, come Adrien!" I groan out, speed walking towards him, "You can't still be mad?" I shout chasing after the boy.

"Can too!" He responds with an angry huff and begins running to try and get away from me, "I said I was sorry!" I shout.

This was the beginning of our little cat and mice game, as Adrien runs around the basketball court with me hot on his heals trying to get him to stop.

"Stop running!"

"Never!"

"Aw, come onnnn!" I drawl out, getting tired of this game as we both begin our third lap of the court. "How aren't you getting tired?!" I wheeze out as our classmates continue to stare at us with a mixture of amusement and concern.

"Adrien!"

"Nope!"

"Seriously?!"

"Yup!"

"Urgh! Fuck you, you little shit!"

"I'm taller than you!"

"Nu huh!"

"Ye huh!"

"Just get back here!"

"No!"

This back and forth conversation went on for another 10 minutes before I eventually decided to call it quits and collapse onto the bench, my head resting on Alya's lap as my chest heaves from the heavy workout I just did.

"Still ignoring you, huh?" I nod and relax further back into her lap as Alya begins to run her fingers through my hair. I sigh of content leaving my lips, "It's so annoying!"

"Girl-"

"Yes, I know. My ears are still ringing from that heartfelt lecture you gave me after nearly suffocating me to death with a hug." I try to joke, only for Alya's harsh stare to shut me up as I give her an apologetic look. "Sorry."

"It..it was hard to watch my best friend disappear in front of me, knowing that I was the cause for it.." She mutters lowly, her voice wobbling as she relives the experience.

"Alya.." I call out softly, grabbing her hand and giving it a light squeeze. "It wasn't your fault. Besides, I'm here now aren't I?"
