VICTORIA ROLLED HER EYES, as JJ demonstrated a trick with beer. They used to do that a lot. The trick is to stand on the very front of the boat, and try to drink it without spilling it. There's a catch, of course. You have to hold the beer around 2 cm from your mouth. Victoria used to be good at it, JJ not as much, so his attempt failed, leaving everyone on the boat in beer.
"Fuck, JJ! The beer's in my hair now!" Kiara lectured him, running her fingers through her hair.
He laughed at Kiara's overreaction, just as the boat stopped. JJ flew into the water, as the rest either fell from their seats, or intensely bumped into something.
"Jesus, Pope!" Victoria groaned, searching for JJ.
After a moment, JJ emerged from the water, floating on his back, as she let out a sigh of relief.
"You okay, JJ?" John B asked, getting up.
After a few deep breaths, he growled, "I think my heels touched the back of my head."
"Kie, Vic, you okay?" John B murmured, resting himself on the edge of the boat.
"I'm all right," Kie answered, fixing herself.
Victoria nodded, hissing from the pain coming from her injured head. As she slowly came back to herself, something at the bottom of the water caught her eye. It was— a ship?
JJ swam back to the group, joking, "Hey, I saved the beer, though."
"Yo guys," Victoria peered deeper into the depths. "I think— I think there's a boat down there."
"Yeah right," Kiara rolled back into her seat, not bothering to look.
"No, no, guys. I'm serious," Victoria's voice quickened, when she was sure that her assumption was right.
The rest decided to see for themselves. Kiara and John B got up, as the girl pointed to the spot of the craft, "It's a boat, I'm telling you."
Their eyes widened at the view of it. Kiara took off her shirt, and uttered, "Holy shit, she's right. Let's go."
Kiara dived into the marsh. As John B followed her, JJ rushed behind them, already prepared. Victoria hastily unbuttoned her shorts and wiggled out of them. She jumped into the water, signalizing Pope to jump in too.
