CHAPTER 3

"I never thought I'd say this," I said when we were woken up by a beautiful sunrise, "but I love South Africa!"

Mitch laughed and told KO who joined in on the laughter. Scott was still asleep and so was Avi, but Avi soon woke up.   "Kirstie, wake Scott up or he'll be late for his flight," Kevin asked me and I went off without any hesitation.

I opened the door slowly and walked towards his bed where he was lying. He looked so good, even in his sleep. Like a chocolate cake that you can eat on the spot.

"If I had a dime for everytime I caught you staring," Scott startled me, "I'd sure be rich."

I blushed, embarrassed.

"Oh," I said, "you're up. Hurry up before you miss your flight."

We all said our byes to Scott and Mitch as they checked in at the airport. "Have fun in Port Elizabeth," Avi said. "Yeah," I added, "don't do anything I haven't done." Making everyone laugh.

And soon they were off. We spent the rest of the day at the hotel and around 5pm, Scott told us they had arrived safely there. Mio and Queenie had booked a suite for them at the Radison Blu Hotel in PE.

We wished him luck at the ball and he was sulking that Kevin and Avi were playing GTA while he was away.

Boys.

***

It didn't feel right to have just the three of us here. I went to bed, leaving the two gamers in the lounge.

I was in my room when I received a message from Mitch saying he had a tummy bug and wouldn't make it to the ball. Poor Scott would have to perform alone. I mean, poor Mitch in pain.

I was in bed browsing through a few tweets when I saw one from our biggest South African fan. Even her twitter handle was @Pentaholics_SA.

"OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!! SCOTT HOYING JUST WALKED INTO THE JCC BALL!!!!!!!!"

I laughed. Probably a dream come true for her.

Just to make her night even greater, I retweeted that tweet.

It's amazing how such little things can mean so much to people. Take, for example, my retweet. Elsa, the girl who owns the twitter account, would be screaming all day because I had retweeted her tweet. To me, it was nothing. The little things that we do or say that don't matter to us, are so amazing for other people.

If you're truly a Pentaholic, saying mean things that don't matter will not be one of your characteristics.

"True Pentaholics aren't mean Pentaholics<3"  I tweeted then fell asleep to the sounds of 945 K Fm.
