"Oh. My. Gosh." I said with fake and dramatic enthusiasm, "That was amazing! No wait, amazing isn't even the word..." I walked besides Mitch and complemented him on his performance during the concert that had just ended. We were in Port Elizabeth, on our South African tour, and were headed to Cape Town right after.

Elsa was officially going on tour with us (much to my dismay, even though the idea was my idea in the first place). Her parents invited us to a farewell dinner with her and a few of her friends. I was a little annoyed because the whole thing was too fancy. I mean, she's just travelling and not winning the Grammys or anything.

I went out and stood out on the balcony with Mitch. We had a little chatter and I asked Mitch to get us some wine from inside. I watched as Mitch opened the glass door from the balcony and he stared at Elsa and Scott who were standing right beside the door. The couple didn't notice as Mitch looked at them for a whole five seconds.

When they finally did, Elsa walked towards Mitch and put her hand on her shoulder as she said something I couldn't hear. Mitch's body looked tense and if he wasn't gay, I'd say he was honestly infatuated by her presence. Elsa waltzed back to her Prince Charming like she owned the place. (Technically she did, since it was her house.)

Mitch stood there for a full five minutes and I was getting even more annoyed 'cause I was waiting for my wine.

If you want something done, do it yourself; so I went into the kitchen to get my own wine. And by own wine I mean two bottles of JC le Roux sweet rosé and a glass.

I walked towards the garden where it was completely isolated and no one could interrupt me and my binge drinking. Boy, was I wrong.

"Just like this red rose, you stood out from everyone else. You came, stole my heart, and I honestly don't want it back. I'm here with such a beautiful soul..."

Scott was on his knees holding a red rose, and if the girl in front of him was me, it would have been really cute. Except, it wasn't me and it was Elsa who stood with a goofy smile.

"I love you Elsa Marcus," Scott continued, "I'll love you 'til the day I die. You're my life; my everything and I never want to lose you."

Scott cupped Elsa's face and looked her in her eyes. He leaned in to kiss her and I turned and left before anyone saw me.

I walked back to our hotel with the bottle and glass still in my hand. I was walking down the street alone in South Africa with alcohol in my hands. My life was going downhill slowly.

"When you spit your venom, keep it shut. I hate it when you hiss and preach about your new messiah 'cause your theories catch fire..." Mitch sang as if the lyrics were talking to him. We were up and rehearsing for our Cape Town concert before we actually flew to Cape Town.
"Right guys!" Scott said the second we finished, "let's take a break. Who wants to go with me to get take outs?"

"I wouldn't say no to that," Avi jumped. I hadn't seen him eat all day so he was aviously hungry. Kevin followed behind them so it was just Mitch and I left.

"Want some coffee, Mitch?" I offered, seeing the distressed look on his face. Mitch just stared in front of me without responding.
"Mitch!" I tried again. "Hello! Earth to Mitch!" and he finally budged.

"Argh, sorry Kirstie," Mitch apologized. He dropped his head into his hands, rubbing his eyes. He stayed like that for a while without saying or doing anything. Awkward moments are awkward, but awkward moments with Mitch are just plain wrong.

"Something's wrong Mitch, I can feel it," I say as calmly as I can, "Tell me what's going on?" Mitch lifted his head and asked me if I was comfortable to which I replied, "I guess so..."

"Last night at the party," Mitch started, "when I saw Elsa come in, I..." he stuttered.
"I couldn't help myself. When she came and complemented my performance, I..."

"Kirstie, I think I'm in love with her."
