Believe it or not, I found myself back in Africa. I could not believe I was seated, yet again, backstage theatre in Port Elizabeth, about to perform. All in the name of Elsa.
"Scott," I overheard Mitch say, "are you sure this is going to work?"
"I'm positive, Mitch," was Scott's reply."Is she there?"
I rolled my eyes all the way to New York and back as Mitch peaked through the curtain.
Scott's eyes suddenly popped with amusement. It looked as though he was staring at the whole world in black and white with just one item in screaming color.
I followed his eyes and, to my surprise (or not) I saw her sitting there in the crowd, looking all innocent and pretending she didn't steal Scott away from me.We got ready to sing and soon went on stage.
We sang "Cruisin' for a bruisin'" because it was Elsa's all-time favorite and, coincidentally, my least favorite. Throughout the whole performance, my eyes pierced through Elsa, but she didn't notice as she drooled at Scott. In her mind, I'm sure she thought Scott was an artist and we were just extras.
During our next song, Evolution of Music, Scott's eyes were glued to Elsa and mine looked around awkwardly for a comforting sight. That one soon ended and Scott started talking.
"Elsa Marcus," Scott spoke, "Please come to the stage." I watched as Elsa walked carefully and looked shy as she headed towards the stage.
"Elsa, I want to thank you..." Scott restarted and I immediately tuned him out. Every sentence began and ended with Elsa so I was sick and tired of that.
"...Come with me?" I heard everyone gasp and only then did I realize that it was just the question we'd all planned. Elsa was just as shocked as everyone yet the sight of her just annoyed me to the core.
She turned and looked at the audience as if waiting for their reaction. She wasn't even on tour with us and she was already acting like a celebrity. Who did she think she was anyway?
She turned back and looked at Scott. "Anywhere I'd follow the King of my Heart..." and everyone stood up in applause. Scott grabbed her and hugged her as if his life depended on it while Avi go the chair from backstage for Elsa to sit.
It was back. I know I had suggested we invite the little prick to tour with us, but I said nothing about making it feel any more special than it already thought it was. Yes. I referred to her as 'it'.
"Ladies and gentlemen, our final song for tonight is dedicated to my queen, Elsa. And it's called 'Stuck Like Glue'!" Scott announced and Kevin counted us in. The song was genuinely a happy song so I had to dig deep into my soul to find some old stored happiness.
My voice started and I hoped it sounded as cheerful as I wanted it to pretend to be. Kevin's amazing beats got me moving a little and I felt a little lighter. Not even Scott and Elsa dancing together a few feet away from me bothered me.
Everyone (who wasn't already up and dancing) stood up and applauded yet again and that was the end of the night.
We would only be going on tour in five months so I still had five Elsa-free months to have the time of my life as the only girl around, but those five months flew like bewitched ants.
***
All those months Elsa had kept in touch with us and all five of us were following her on every social platform. She had insisted so she could send us private messages anytime.
You offer a person your hand, they want your whole arm.
She kept telling us how much she missed Scott and all five of us. She even told us how her mom was being very supportive and comforting her whenever she felt like she missed us too much and couldn't cope. Two questions:
When did we become friends who told each other everything; and Why on earth was her mom condoning her teenage daughter into dating such an older man?
We drove to the airport and everyone waved goodbye to a very anxious Scott as he headed for Johannesburg, South Africa.

UNKNOWN P.O.V (AN: hahaha. It's actually @pentaholics_sa's story so her P.O.V)
Elsa still sat in her bedroom and suddenly the silence was broken by a hard knock on the door. It burst open and the next thing she knew:
Scott's soft, warm lips met hers and he held her close, not wanting to let go any second...
Quickly pulling away, she stared at Scott, both amazed and confused.
Hello, my Queen. I missed you so much..." he kissed her once. "I've never felt more alone than these past few months..." he kissed her twice. "I need you now..." Third time's the charm, and this time the kiss lingered.
Elsa felt... home. The soul she missed the most had found her again. Slowly she pushed Scott away from her and just... stared at him in pure silence. She tried to figure out what to say and when she wanted to speak. Scott beat her to it:"Come with me Elsa. I've waited much too long now. We both have. You'll enjoy this tour, I know you will."
A part of her longed to say yes, but another part was mad at him for leaving her for so long. Plus, the following year would be her final and most important school year...
Does she dare to break away from rules and routine and follow her heart?
Or does she stay and break the heart that meant everything to her?
