Diluc POV

I suspected... But it's really her.

"Diluc? Are you alright?" (Aether)

"I'm fine." (Diluc)

"Paimon's wondering... why didn't you just beat her up? Paimon knows how strong you are." (Paimon)

"If I were to attack a fatui diplomat and a Harbinger no less... Snezhnaya will look for repercussions. They're a diplomatic group on the surface. There will be consequences if I delt with them like that."

"Ohhh. Paimon understands." (Paimon)

"We'll be heading back to the city now. See you later!" (Aether)

"Mhm." (Diluc)

When they disappeared, another figure appeared.

"That's not the full story, is it?"

"Kaeya."

"Hello Master Diluc. It's nice to see you too."

"It's not any of your business."

"Isn't it?"

"Shut your mouth."

"Wasn't it nice to hear her voice again after all these years?"

"Leave."

I walked away towards Dawn Winery.

"Do you think she still remembers? Could you read her? You could always tell how she was feeling."

I couldn't. She isn't the same as she once was.

"What do you think? It's been four years Kaeya."

"So you couldn't. What do you think made her become a Harbinger? Was it that incident? How interesting. The one who hates the fatui created a new Harbinger."

"Isn't it time for you to go home?"

"Alright, alright. I'll leave. But... I think I'll go say hello to an old friend."

End of Diluc POV

You sighed. Getting the documents back was more of a handful than you thought.

You were looking around the street on the way back to your office, the documents in your hand.

"Who are you?" A brunette of the Knights of Favonious stopped you.

"Why does it matter?"

"You're holding fatui documents."

"As a Fatui Harbinger... is it wrong of me to?" You cocked your head, allowing a bit of the predatory instinct you felt to shine through.

"You're a fatui harbinger?!"

"Yes. Now get out of my way."

She drew her bow and you sighed.

"You want to make this more complicated than it already is?"

"You're under arrest for the assault of a citizen of monstadt."

"Pfft." You chuckled "The Knights of Favonious handbook states that you must never draw a weapon against a citizen of Monstadt unless ordered to by the Grand Master correct?"

"That's true."

"Well, my allegiance may lie with the Fatui, but I'm still a citizen of Monstadt. So stand down outrider." Your voice was pure command.

"I'll take care of it from here, so run along." A blue haired guy walked out of the shadows.

"But Captain Kaeya-"

"I said I'll take care of it alright?"

"Are you two going to stay there arguing? Because then I'm gonna leave."

"Fine. I'll be going then. But Acting Grand Master Jean will be hearing about this!" The brunette stormed off.

"Well that takes care of one problem and now... for the other. Who are you? I believe that outrider called you Kaeya?"

"You should know who I am." He smirked.

"Oh really?"

"Doesn't the fatui have a lot of informats?"

"Kaeya Alberich. Calvarly Captain of the Knights of Favonious. A title that used to be held by-"

"Alright, that's enough. I wouldn't want you to spill all my secrets here."

"Hm. If you would please move aside, I must be on my way."

He moved closer to you.

"Why would I do that?"

You glared at him and he cocked his head.

"What do you think would happen if I cut of that glove of yours?"

"You would be incinerated into ash before you could do that."

"Really? I thought your vision was-"

"Are we close at all? No. So get out of my sight."

You shoved past him and stalked into Goth Grand Hotel.

When you walked into your office, you collapsed onto your chair.

"Ha. Hahahaha! What does he know? It's not like... Like we are or were close anyways."

Kaeya POV

"We're not close huh? But we were. Heh."

A knight ran up to me.

"Captain Kaeya! You're being called to the Acting Grand Master's office!"

"The outrider sure works fast. I'll be there in a moment."

A grin rose on my face.

"Things are going to get interesting around here..."
