Alastor's POV

I sat there in my office, pondering on how to win back my love. The task would be difficult, a challenge for sure. Although I was never one to coward away from a good challenge!

Subconsciously, I started to tap my pen to whatever was on the radio.

"All right civilians of Hell! How are we feeling?"

I snapped out of my trance. I could recognize that voice anywhere.

"I'm the Music Demon; Chloe Bishop and you're listening to channel 666! We are gonna start off this gloomy morning with something inspired by my time! It's Let's Misbehave!"

The music was certainly, like she said, not from our time. However, it felt like it could have.

My smile widened and my eyes closed. I became hypnotized by the melody, shoes tapping against the wooden floor, my pointer finger swinging along to the melody as if I was orchestrating an invisible band.

Then the room fell silent. I looked over to the radio only to see my shadow looking at me with disappointment.

"Why did you turn it off?" I asked.

"Why did I turn it off? Are you seriously asking me that?"

I gave a weak nod.

My shadow pinched the bridge of where his nose would be and gave a deep sigh.

"Have you forgotten the plan? You find the Music Demon, your wife. Check. Help around where she's hiding. Check. Use your abilities to take her powers away and give them to you! You haven't checked off that last box! Why?"

"We will get her power, it's just I need to get her on my side. No doubt about it, she probably could kill me if not for the princess's protection. All it takes is a strategy, my dear friend."

I got up from my seat and walked over to my bookshelf.

"Oh yeah, you definitely have her trust you big goof! She almost threw jambalaya at your face if not for me!"

"Don't worry." I said slowly as I grabbed a photo album and flipped to the photo of me and her on our wedding night, "If I charmed her once, I can charm her once again."

I set the album down on my desk and walked out of my office, my sinister smile taking over my face once again.

The hotel was quiet once again. Not a surprise as this entire idea was complete bull. Hopefully, once I have my wife's power, I'll never have to set foot in this place again.

All I had to do...

Was gain my darling, little, wife's...

Trust.

Back to normal POV!

In a little cafe in her territory, Chloe sat with Benjiman.

"So Benji, I have a proposition for you."

He looked at her with confusion.

"What may that be?" The fly demon responded.

"You know how you've always wanted to be a massage therapist?"

"Shut up! You didn't!"

"I did! It's at the Happy Hot-"

"Nevermind no. I don't want the job."

"Oh come on! You owe me one after the whole fiasco with your ex!"

He groaned before thinking.

Chloe continued.

"Plus my husband is working there now and I need my best friend with me more than ever!"

"Fine! Fine." Benji gave a small smile.

Chloe gave a smirk.

"Also, there is this cute guy I'm gonna set you up with."

Benji just sighed and continued with his drink.
