                           3rd person pov
"Lapisss I'm heree!!" Peridot yelled but not loud enough to disturb the other people in the classroom. Lapis looked up from her seat and smiled "Hey Peri."
Lapis and Peridot have been friends for all of their highschool years. They're both in Junior year and have had their off and ons but they've always been closer than most. Lapis and Peridot have 1st, 5th and 7th period together, 5th being lunch period.
"Took you long enough, I texted you but you didn't respond??" Lapis continued to look at Peridot, "Ah, um" Peridot looked away her face turning slightly pink but not enough to point out, or even notice. "Sorry, I was busy..Do you want to come over after school? We was can sum Minecraft!" Peridots then made a cat face ":3" Lapis giggled a bit, then responded "You're good, I was just worried about you, but sure, Minecraft sounds fun now we just got to wait 8 hours till we can be alone." Lapis winked as she finished her sentence, Peridot was gonna say something as she turned even more pink but the bell rang and she took her seat in-front of Lapis, facing her.
                            PERIDOTS POV
I don't know if Lapis knows it but shes had a hold on me for about a year now, Shes had plenty of boyfriends(obviously, because damn!) before and has never even mentioned anything about LGBTQ+ so I haven't really told her about me being a lesbian.. especially since its not really something you would talk about in 2012. She jokes about me not dating anyone since I've known her, but I've had 2 girlfriends she hasn't known about, since I'm scared to come out to her. I dont want her to think i have a crush on her or anything..I mean I might..but thats not the point.
"Peridot?" I felt a light tap on my arm. "Hey! The teacher called on you dude." Lapis whispered. I suddenly snapped out of it and looked up to see the teacher staring at me, and Lapis. "Ah! Ugh um..i'm sorry what?" Ms.White stared me down "I asked what'd you put down for number 3, from yesterdays homework." I froze. Shoot! I never did yesterdays homework. I took a glance at Lapis and she realized that i didn't do it, so she mouthed me the answer. "...28" I said shyly. The teacher glared at Lapis and at me. "Well, I don't see how you knew that since you dont even have your homework out. Whatever. Bells going to ring in 5 minutes class, you may pack up." I sighed out of embarrassment, it felt like everyone was staring and judging me, especially Lapis but I knew that wasn't true.
"Hey Peri, why didn't you do the homework?"
I packed up my books and grabbed my headphones and phone from my bag. "Uh, I just forgot I guess." I said quietly, still embarrassed. "Are you okay?" Lapis exclaimed with a frown on her face. I nodded to her and put my headphones in and my head down and I watched the clock listening to "Black Hair by Alex G" the bell finally rang and i grabbed Lapis's hand so we could go sit down in the bathroom during the 7 minute break we had between classes, we always did this just to talk, people were always there with us but we were in our own bubble, once we made it to the bathroom we went to the corner near the sinks and sat down. "God! Lapis that was so embarrassing I cant believe i spaced out in class like that." I put my head to my knees and Lapis frowned. "Yeah man, are you sure nothing is up? You've seemed kind of out of it today. You know you can tell me anything." I raised my head up, her eyelashes were so beautiful, and her lips looked so soft, her freckles, and her tan skin it was perfect, down to the way her hair fell. I felt my face and my ears heating up. "Peridot??" Lapis asked, "Oh! Right. Yeah man I'm totally fine I just didn't get enough sleep last night I guess." I looked at the time and it was 3 minutes before the bell rang which is when we usually left and walked to second period. "C'mon Lapis, its time to walk you to Guitar." I smiled with my teeth and let my fangs show. Lapis smiled as-well but not with her teeth. We got up and started walking. Once we reached the room we said goodbye and hugged. Her hugs always felt too brief, i wanted to hold her longer but she always let me go before i was ready. I guess that just made me want her more. she really had a way with things.
