Truths are hard to believe. Lies are easy. They don't require trust or faith. It's why our brains are riddled with delusions of others and the world around us. When you're raised to ultimately realize these delusions can be true it only makes it harder to listen to any truth at all. Like when someone says they don't think you're stupid. Or a horrible person. Your ears can bleed and burn from hearing it over and over but the truths which are ultimately lies you've come to know will always hold more weight. Until you realize how to finally place trust on the scale next to it. Then suddenly these delusions are nothing more than a feather compared to lead.
But how?
That's the struggle we face everyday. You can't get mad or scared or feel like you're letting everyone down if you just can't do it. It's a question we ask everyday and that's enough. It means you haven't given up on finally knowing what is true. It was never about that person. It was always about you and that doesn't make you ungrateful or wrong. It just makes you scared and confused. It isn't your fault.
