You shook your head no and took a step back.

"Alright." He raised one eyebrow, walked to the kitchen counter and sat himself down to open up the bag of fresh croissants. "You still like coffee right? I still try to avoid it, but the barista probably messed up the order, so I got two coffees. Coffee it is today." He raised the cup, gave you a little smile and sipped on the coffee.

He definitely hated it.

"You still hate coffee?" That was absolutely not what you wanted to say nor ask and on top of that your voice was so shaky, but you couldn't control it. It was a fact that after all these years he still made you nervous and since you haven't seen him in so long it might have become even worse.

"I mean, yeah– I don't think it'll ever change." He calmly answered.

Taehyung got rid of the plastic lid of the paperboard cup and looked around in your kitchen.

It was still so weird for you, that he stood in your apartment, but once your mind started to clear up a little more, you took a few steps back and just realized that you completely forgot something while he was there. "No...no no no no" you panicked and looked around yourself to look for a framed picture that was like a charm to you.

"Y/N, where do you have your glass cups?" He heard someone move stuff behind him and he turned around in confusion. He catched you looking through your stuff. Your face was telling him that you were so desperately looking for something and the moment he saw tears run down your face, he quickly put down the coffee and moved towards you. His long fingers grabbed what he thought you looked for.

"It's gone!" you shouted in fear. The picture of HIM was missing. It was always close to you, so no moment could go past where you would not think of him. Everyone would start to forget him at some point but not you, and since Taehyung was here, you completely forgot to think of him. Your thoughts always were that he would most definitely feel lonely if you wouldn't think of him. Suddenly you stopped when a large hand reached out holding the picture in his hands. You didn't even look up to the tall man that was so calm.

The desperation he felt that came off of you just made him realize something even more: You needed help, more than he had thought. And the route Taehyung was planning for you, would have taken your all. It was time for you to move on, it was time to get you out of your miserable life you have created yourself around you. Minho was his best friend, they were brothers by heart. He also was hurt by his passing. Partly he hated him for leaving you behind. Because your well-being was so important. Of course Taehyung wasn't as delusional as to think that Minho would have left you with absolutely nothing. In fact, Minho was the one that told him everything about you. Loads of new things Taehyung missed over all the years he had left. He did it for a reason. He knew that you would break apart when he would leave this world. For that: Minho was giving Taehyung the full responsibility over you.

He remembered his words, like a snake that was around his neck at any time.

"You have no choice in this Taehyung." Minho put his hand on his shoulder. "I know you suffered all these years and I know that you will be even more in pain once you will be around her again."

He stared so deep into Taehyungs eyes, tightening the grip on his shoulder, pulling him towards him to get closer to Taehyungs ears and whispering these wicked words: "You have to take responsibility for what you did and this is your punishment"

You snatched it out of his hands and pressed it to your chest. "I'm so sorry."

The sudden reaction from you to him handing you the picture, brought him back to reality. He had to keep himself together, before he fixed his problems, he had to fix yours. It was no time to bring his problems to the surface, not now at least.
