As the creature pulled me out into open, wide, parking lot, I yelled out to my brother," Micha! Stay inside and hide!".
Micha ran in fear and desperation while I defended myself against the green humanoid. I was being pulled by the waist so I had access to my backpack and there for my baseball bat. I quickly pulled it out of its pocket and turned to swing at the things chest and the wood pole tha stuck out. As I swung the monster had not moved, like it barely noticed it was being attacked. Then all I can remember is the wave of dizziness and nausea. I kept swinging and bashing my bat at the monster to get it to let go of me. The monster had pulled me closer  and had tried to bite my legs. I got the monster to release me by reaching for the pocket knife I found out of my pants pocket and cutting its spindly arm off. As it let go I fell down the 3 feet it had lifted me and scraped my leg across a car bump that hadn't been eroded or rusted. I took the pocket knife in one hand and my bat in the other as I thought "this thing couldn't possibly be alive still," but I was wrong, it was still alive. I could feel my heart pumping and the thick red blood flowing from my leg. Another wave of dizziness and nausea had waved and I lunged at the thing and hit it with my bat where it's eyes or eye was. The monster fell while I took that opportunity to kill it. I had the knife in my right hand and I stabbed the thing through the eye. The eye exploded with more of its green blood than I thought would come out. I was covered in the green goo that kept these creatures alive.

I had hobbled back into the hotel to find Micha under the reception desk.
"Sis!" He said with much concern for me.

"I'm okay, just need some rest and bandages,".

"Okay! Lay down on the backpack,". He yelled as he took off my backpack and pushed me down on to it in the same area he had earlier had chips.

"I have the first aid kit in my backpack, so stay still,".

Micha got to work cleaning and bandaging my wound. The kitten had wobbled over to me and slept in the crook between my arm and chest.

"Her name is sky," Micha said as if he could read my mind. Sky was what our mom would call us when Chris came to our family. " the sky is a collection of beautiful colors and textures,". She would say this whenever Chris or Micha would be picked on because of their hair or skin. Micha was a beautiful tan with straight hair, I was pale with a mix of curly and straight. Chris was brown, like milk chocolate, with beautiful and full curly hair. I miss the days when the color of our skin or the texture of our hair was the only thing I would have to fight people about. Now people don't care, they either help you or they steal from you.

"Don't move your leg much until tomorrow-" Micha was still talking but I got pulled into a dark and heavy, but needed slumber.

I awoke to my brother next to me watching the door like a big cat watching its pray. I tried to push myself up to tell him I could take over but he saw before i could speak and said
"go back to sleep, it's only 5 in the morning and we have a walk ahead of us,".
I knew I couldn't argue with him and I was still groogy and tired so I let the darkness engulf me and pull me down. The next time I woke up Micha was shaking me gently so I could eat. After a well deserved breakfast of cold soup I tried to stand and walk. I couldn't run but I could walk, thoughit was more of a hobble, that was good. I got dressed in black leggings a long gray t-shirt and a cold shower in one of the hotel rooms before we started out.

"Start packing our bags, we better get going if we want to make it before dawn,". I stated before Micha could say I had to rest more.

Micha and I walked out side with me holding onto him for stability. We continue our journey for food and new shelter.
